Also in his day job he only ever seems to talk about football. There are other sports, Ore

Matt was always wet and when he co-presented the Queen's river pageant he was absolutely terrible. And the One Show is unwatchable

BUT

Presenting from the Rio Olympicswhete he was in his comfort zone, he was completely different

If anyone should be annoyed, think it's Ore. I admit to cynical tendencies, but seems to me they're trying to manufacture an artificial dance war between him and Danny - presumably to make things more 'exciting'. Think Ore was over marked last night and we all know what can happen to the Strictly teacher's pet. Wish they'd stop trying to micro-manage everything.

I always find it bemusing when people seem to know what other people are thinking and generalise to a ridiculous extent. And also when people seem think that just because they're hiding behind a keyboard they can say things about a celebrity that I sincerely hope they would never say to anyone's faces in real life. How anyone can make such a vitriolic judgement about someone from what they see on a TV show is beyond me.

As far as I'm concerned, I love Danny. But I seem to be in the minority in terms of being a viewer of a show that is premised on learning to dance in actually caring about the standard of dancing!

How do you know?

Don't tell me there's been yet another poll?

There's two, both on the front page, one for Favourite Couple and one for Least Favourite Couple. As of me writing this Danny is winning the Favourite Couple poll by a clear 16% over his nearest rival and in second to last place on the Least Favourite Couple.

But yes, he's very unpopular and hard-done-by here, clearly.

I'm sorry I retract my statement about Danny not being popular on here.

It's the opposite for me now. On the launch show and the first week I found him too cocky. I've warmed to him......slightly.

Probably a finalist (if there's four) but he won't win.

Ore started on about wanting to beat Jay and his jive long before the judges mentioned it ... might be what prompted them to mention it so I don't think he's worried about being lauded to the skies at the expense of others. He strikes me as the person most likely to believe his own hype.
I think he's a lovely dancer but not as good as the judges are claiming.

I agree he's been trying to create his own hype from day one. The stuff about Gene Kelly's widow was manufactured then publicised too with all this "I can't believe this, is this happening?' twaddle.

When he said live in TV he'd never been taught dance before this, that decided me that he's a stranger to the truth. Did he choreograph himself for that Comic Relief Hey Ya performance on TV a few years ago?

I bet every pro was literally fighting to get to Tango to "Geronimo" and Cha Cha Cha to Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff"....NOT!

Make a statement by all means - but try not to make it 'sweeping'

How did they influence the woman to that extent?

Is this parody or your genuine pov?

BIB: His quickstep was not "wow" enough for you?

He's very confident, pulling faces and fake tears (imo) and just the general hogging of the camera - But he backs it up on the dance floor.

He's not in Danny's league, but I will be amazed if he doesn't come first or second.

What has annoyed you about him exactly? I find him a great dancer and totally harmless.

On Ore, I always liked him as a sport presenter and was made up when he was announced for SCD. I predicted he would be in the mix and am glad to see that he is. Didn't like that he was paired with Jo though. However, from the moment he overplayed the "the SCD jingle freaks me out" thing he has really annoyed me. His first set of tears after his AS were quite sweet - now the "routine" has just become jarring. Even if he was shocked by last night's scores - why not just show shock? it is an equally effective emotion.

This is a shame because he is a brilliant dancer but I fear his personality and the way he is coming across will backfire on him negatively. Not blaming Jo directly but, as others have said, If he had been paired with say Natalie or Oti, they would have tempered personality more effectively.

All that said, I am sure he will reach the Final and good luck to him if he does end up winning.

Seriously?! I hardly think an appearance on Let's Dance for Comic Relief makes a liar of him.

Didn't he say catagorically on ITT that he had never had dance training?

I guess people are at liberty to simply disbelieve him, but unless anyone can actually show he's fibbing, I'm happy to accept what he says.

I know last year lots of people didn't believe Anita either. Somehow, because her mother was an accomplished dancer, Anita must have had lessons too. Or become trained by osmosis, or something.

If we're into conspiracy theories, how about that one - they TPTB are creating this haze around Ore and Danny and finally boom! Kevin wins
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Nor that I believe in any of those conspiracies.

Oh and on topic, I'm fine with Ore, and I have absolutely no problem with his sensitivity, I prefer to see people natural. But I haven't voted for him so far, let's see how it goes later.
