Amazing episode last night, that jaguar...wow. My jaw was on the floor.

Attenborough always adds a comment on the climate change/deforestastion threat to these environments and the amazing creatures we are privileged to see.
No wonder he said he wanted to shoot Trump, who thinks it's a hoax
You heart sinks...

Which is why the dolphins voted for Trump...

I can't imagine David Attenborough suggesting anyone should be shot, though

By the way, Marispiper, I wonder if that "other" forum, with the moderator whose name must surely be Adolf, is still going, or whether he has banned every single member? I took a look recently, and now you need to register to even view it.

Sorry for the diversion, other people - Marispiper and I go back a fair way.

I was warned a number of times, then deleted, for wanting to discuss Question Time!
Last time I looked, the posts were all old and only a handful of members.
Totally different regime on here...even I get surprised at the vitriol level!
I, of course, am ever so polite.
See you in these columns Jeff

This programme is amazing. The colours of the Wilson’s Bird of Paradise were stunning, it was quite funny watching him tidy up the jungle floor and then just when you thought he couldn't get any more colourful, he displays his chest to the female. Fantastic.

Wonderful series.

Not quite as pretty as the birds of Paradise, but I was quite stunned at that lizard (?) with green patches looking just like the lichen on the tree. How on earth did it evolve like that - was it the ones that most closely mimicked their surroundings that survived?

Or is there a simpler explanation, like the way the chameleon can change colour at will?

The Jaguar was the stand out moment for me, it took a huge risk going for a powerful creature that could have killed it but the Jaguar dispatched it with a spellbinding display of stealth and power that had me in awe.

The sound reminded me of the Magnum ice cream advert

That fall looked painful for the lion, it landed right on it's back. I guess sand is soft enough not to hurt.

This is like a miniature Jurassic park.

I knew it was a butcher bird from watching the Animals of Farthing wood back in the day.

I know I felt that lionesses pain when she fell. It cannot be easy out in that terrain.

Wow those Hawks hunting together. The talons on it.
