I don't know, but it felt all a bit rushed and actually schmaltzy in places. Not what I expect from DA.

How on earth do those penguins get safely out of the water? Amazing footage.

It's like the D Day landings scene from Saving Private Ryan.

His shows have had concocted narratives and overblown music for years now.

Still worth it for the imagery, though.

Background music too loud, commentary too quiet, had to keep adjusting the volume, most of the aerial shots achieved with drones which have 4k cameras attached, £1100 from Maplins. Not bad though.

Yep, I'll never forget seeing the fighting giraffes in 'Africa' I had no idea they used their necks like that.

I found it great, no issues at all.

Still worth it for the imagery, though.
The only bit I felt was near to how I recall his programmes from when I was a little *cough* younger was the snakes v lizard bit! Gritty reality not softened for viewer sensibilities.

1) I want a penguin

2) I'm sure I'll wake up at some point tonight dreaming of snakes. They're terrifying!

Those snakes are the stuff of nightmares.
,
Was it just me holding their breath when the chase was on!
Was on the edge of my seat. Never seen anything like it.

Sloths are one of the funniest, most adorable animals on the planet.
The komodo dragon fight was pretty impressive.

The snakes pursuing the baby iguanos was like something out of a horror film. Classic!

I agree and I love the music too.

Loved the lemurs and the footage they had of them just flying through the trees. Also the pygmy sloaths were just cute. Felt really sad for the crabs being attacked by the ants though. The scenes with the hatchlings and the snakes was just jaw dropping. I literally cheered when one of the babies got away!

But I have to say the penguins stole it for me at the end. Real respect for any creature that can survive in an environment like that.
