I'm ready to see what we'll get from the Wheels this week!

Oh, Jacka. be very careful what you wish for!

THEME WHEEL
Spoiler
Let's see here, we have five possible themes related to...

Rick, have you lost your mind?

Riiight, it's Halloween tomorrow and we didn't take the golden opportunity to use it in this game. That's kind of inexcusable, isn't it? Well, I've got just the thing. Hey, at least I'm straight-up with it, unlike the X Factor jukebox.

Halloween After-party (100%)

ELIMINATION WHEEL
Spoiler
We've exhausted both the double eliminations, which means we quite literally broke the wheel.

Single elimination (100%)

TWIST WHEEL
Spoiler
Or should I call it the potentially-waste-a-twist wheel this week?

No twist (67%), the theme wheel will get a second spin (33%)

Ready for the super-exciting spins?

I wonder what the theme will be hmm...

All I'm thinking is:
1. What a dream for Saara and,
2. Goodbye Peyton...

Hopefully the latter is not the case

Result!

Well, that twist was useless...

HALLOWEEN AFTER-PARTY

Don't mind the after-party bit in the theme title, that's just tacked on to make it sound fancy. The main premise here is to find a song that's somehow linked to Halloween. Any song is allowed, as long as it meets that golden rule. What classifies as a link to the spookiest holiday of the year? Well, more than you think, probably. Direct (or not so direct) links in song titles, ghastly lyrics, a "haunting" or "ethereal" sound - all are good starting points for your song hunt this week.

However, that's not all I'm going to ask of you. In addition to your song choice, I want you to write up a paragraph on a spooky staging for each of your acts. Try to think of something that works with the performance!

Good luck, judges. I'd like to do the show as close to Halloween as possible, perhaps on Wednesday?

Ooooh spooky!!

Very exciting actually, got a few ideas in mind. Wednesday suits me perfectly, should hopefully be able to post live also woo!

Recovered from yesterday now. Bratavio should definitely still be here but I have two other amazing acts who are going to come out fighting!

Yes, they came in a couple of hours ago. The reason the song list got sent so late is because I only now got the chance to. Hectic day...

Viewers, join us tomorrow at 6:15 PM for our (late) Halloween special!

Ladies and gentlemen, vampires and ghouls, welcome to the Halloween special of The X Factor: Wheel of Fortune!

Last Sunday was characterized by drama over the shock eliminations of Jennifer Phillips and Bratavio, the latter of which found themselves in the sing-off against week 2 winner Peyton. With all that behind us, it's time to open up a new chapter in the story that is this show, as the playing field is roughly equal for the first time since the start of the series.

Tonight, our top 7 will be taking on spooky tracks and deliver haunting performances. That's right, the theme is Halloween After-party, and I for one can't wait to see what the judges have in store for us this week. Remember, they were each asked to write a staging for their acts this week in addition to picking that perfect song. At the end of tonight's show, one act will be leaving us. Who will fall victim to this Halloween-themed horror show?

Let's not skip ahead to the end of the show though, not with a show as exciting as this one. Please give it up for your Wheel of Fortune top 7 and their mentors:
Intro Tune

pingu58011 and the groups
Reggie N Bollie
Skarl3t

jackamakka and the over 25s
Christopher Peyton
Saara Aalto

juankarlostoday and the boys
Jack Walton
Josh Daniels

mariesteller and the last of the girls
Olivia Garcia

Judges, we're a little late, so please confirm your presence as soon as possible if you're here!

What's happening?

I was kind of waiting for more judges to arrive, but it seems they're not coming. A shame, as I only have Maris' comments...

Up first, it's Jacka's Finnish snow fairy. In true "go big or go home" fashion, Saara Aalto is taking on an Evanescence track.

Haunted by Evanescence
https://youtu.be/di8zQcabGBc
Staging: Large clear circular platform will be Saara's base throughout the performance. Heavy dry ice across the stage with dancers dressed in ghostly costumes performing on the floor just visible through the dry ice. This performance will contain flashing lights and lasers as the beat kicks in properly. Very dramatic.

Maris: "Saara! As usual, you never felt to make me smile. Well, I prefer this to the Saara we saw last Saturday. I'm excited to see what your mentor have in store of you."
pingu58011

Saara, whilst this definitely suited the halloween theme and I liked the staging, I just feel that it didn't work. It felt too rocky for you and also Evanescence is so predictable for this particular theme. I just feel like your mentor has played it a bit safe the past few weeks and needs to be a bit more adventurous with you. It was okay for you but I just feel like you're going to start getting lost. Nice for now but I really want you to reach your full potential and I know Jacka has it in him to do it!!! A really big ballad for you would do it I think or something quite crazy!

I hope Jacka and Juan get a chance to catch up. I also don't have their votes, and with Wednesday being a slow day for games in general, I might be forced to keep the vote open overnight. We'll see what happens.

So the judges want to see something more adventurous from Saara. Has Jacka become too complacent with her?

Doing what he does best, with his guitar in hand, it's Jack Walton.

Ghost Towns by Radical Face
https://youtu.be/9MUA9hoDa40
Staging: Jack is dressed as a zombie. Throughout the performance, he stands in the middle of the stage playing his guitar as he sings.

Maris: "Jack! In the previous week, I liked you and didn't much like Josh. But this week, tables have turned. It's week 4 already and you're delivering us the same old stuff. Nothing new? If you get to next week, I would like to see something new."
pingu58011
02-11-2016
Last week I was shocked that you made it through tbh Jack. Whilst this suited you more, I found it so boring. It was just quite flat and not really interesting at all. I loved you the first 2 week and I feel that you have gone downhill since then and I think you could be in a lot of trouble tonight. If this had more life in it and had more development I would like it but I just wanted it to be over I am afraid. Good luck in the voting later on!!!
EndOfSanity
02-11-2016
And again, one of the judges is emphasizing they want to see new things. We're in week 4 now, which is usually the point at which one trick ponies get exposed. Adapt or perish, which one will it be for Jack?

Can Reggie N Bollie impress the panel with their upbeat take on Halloween?

Phantom by BOJ ft. Runtown
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNN3WEVm7MI
Staging: The stage will have red lighting with people dressed as phantoms around the stage who surround Reggie N Bollie as they are singing. Reggie N Bollie will have scared expressions throughout and try and fight against these phantoms. There will be the scenery of a street with a lamp post on one side of the street.

Seeing as it's Halloween, I thought I would go for something that still maintains your style but does it in a more chilled way. I think it worked so well and the staging combined with this made it into such a fantastic performance. It made use of your vocals and harmonies in a really interesting way. For me, you have been one of the most consistent acts who has done something slightly different every week. After losing Bratavio last week which shouldn't have happened, you restored my happiness and made up for it. You better be through boys!!
EndOfSanity
02-11-2016
Maris: "Reggie n Bollie! Wow... You never fail to make me smile. Like everytime you perform, you get me hyped. And each week, I'm excited to see what you have in store for us. And I can't wait to see more next week."
EndOfSanity
02-11-2016
Great comments for Reggie N Bollie, and what a way to change things up without doing something too drastic. Well done, Pingu!

Marking the midway point of tonight's show is last week's bottom 2 survivor. Can Christopher Peyton fully redeem himself with this grim performance?

Sierra The Serial Killer by Austin Gibbs
https://youtu.be/5SWo18Aa_h0
Staging: The set will have a church altar at the sliding doors and an aisle leading towards the judges desk with pews on either side, with two raised platforms on either side with caged female dancers in skeletal makeup performing. The performance will start from the altar and make its way up to the front of stage with backing dancers being featured heavily around Peyton. Choreography involves a lot of sinister images including implied murder, as per the song lyrics. Very dark.

02-11-2016
Maris: "Peyton! It's nice to have you back here tonight. The show would be different without you. That song was better than what you had last week as it was obvious that you struggled on it. But your mentor has nothing to worry about as you will be perfectly safe."
