REGGIE N BOLLIE

A second group through for Pingu, well done!

Let's see who we have left:

Pingu with Bratavio
McCoy with Josh
Maris with Chloe and Lola

The FINAL act definitely returning next week, courtesy of the DS public, is:

BRATAVIO

Massive congratulations to Pingu - all of your groups have made it through unscathed.

However, this leaves us with a vocally amazing bottom 3 of Josh, Chloe and Lola...

Two of them will sing for the judges in the sing-off, while one will leave the competition in 12th place. That act is:

LOLA SAUNDERS

Commiserations to Maris, who loses her first act. Worst thing is, you're not out of the woods yet as Chloe now needs to take on Josh in the sing-off.

Congrats Pingu! And commiserations to Maris

Good luck to Chloe and Josh for the sing-off! Give it your all!

We're not done yet, judges. We may have already lost one act tonight, but that means your work is only half-done. One of these acts standing before you, Josh Daniels or Chloe Paige, won't be here next week.

Josh will sing first, Chloe second. Once both acts have performed, the voting order will be:

McCoy > Maris > Pingu > Jacka

Good luck, everyone.

After a thorough search of my inbox, turns out I don't have any sing-off songs for Josh Daniel. Therefore, he'll reprise his earlier performance.

Maris, could you please introduce your act and her sing-off song?

All right. Both acts have sung, which means it's time for the judges' verdict.

McCoy isn't here, but as the mentor for the boys category he would without a doubt save Josh.

Maris, you're up second. Which act are you sending home and why?

I'm fighting for my girl, I love Josh as much as I love Chloe but my loyalty is with Chloe as she is in my category, the act I'm sending home is Josh

One vote to send home Josh, one vote to send home Chloe. It could still go either way.

Pingu, time to spice things up a bit. Who are you sending home tonight and why?

Honestly I'm still in shock that the public voted Bratavio and Reggie n Bollie over Chloe I mean I thought Lola would be in the bottom as she was the act I had trouble in terms of song choice, but I thought Chloe was sensational and fantastic tonight.

I honestly don't see either of these acts going far. However, I think one of the has more potential and I ranked them higher earlier. Even though Josh had no sing off, there is no excuse for singing a song from someone of the opposite sex that sounds nothing like them. therefore I am sending home Chloe

It isn't about who the act is though. It is about the song choice which is why they got through

2-1 to send home Chloe.

Jacka, the deciding vote rests with you. If you send Chloe home, she's gone. If you send Josh home, we'll go to deadlock.

I'm looking at this based on everything I've seen so far. Josh, I really liked your performance earlier tonight and I feel like your mentor has a clear grasp of who you are and what they're doing with you, despite the lack of sing-off song which was disappointing. Chloe, whilst I like what your mentor is trying to do and I can see the ideas Maris has for you, I feel like I've not seen any compelling evidence for why I should keep you in the competition. Maris and McCoy, you both have ways to go in finding your feet as mentors here but I feel like one of you has a clearer idea of what direction your act tonight is going in. So the act I am sending home tonight will be Chloe Paige.

And with that, Chloe Paige is out of the competition and Maris is left with just one act in Olivia. Commiserations, week one double whammies are a major setback but you only need one act to win.

I think that was all for tonight. As announced on the launch thread, next week's theme is Floor Fillers. The show itself will be a single elimination and to top it all off, I will reveal the acts' finishing positions at the end of Wednesday's show. We'll kick off at 6:15 PM right here on this thread, see you there!

One of the judges, hashtag_mccoydl, has sadly stepped down from his judging role.

Despite this, the show will go ahead as planned. We will start at 6:15 PM tomorrow regardless of whether a new mentor for the boys category is found in time or not.

The song list will be sent to the judges as soon as Maris sends me her song choice for Olivia.

Ready to fill the now vacant spot on the panel, it's someone who knows these games like the back of his hand. He's hosted several of his own shows, though his mentoring credentials are definitely there as well - not everyone can brag about winning the first forum game their participated in, after all. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome:

Welcome, Juan. The boys definitely aren't the easiest category to take over mid-series, but I'm confident you have what it takes to pick up where they left off.

Goodness, not having a new thread for every other live show feels kind of odd, doesn't it? I suppose it will take some time getting used to. Anyway, enough of that. Welcome to the second live show of The X Factor: Wheel of Fortune!

Last Sunday, we saw the acts perform for the first time. Overall, reactions were positive and constructive, though that didn't stop Chloe, Josh and Lola from landing in the bottom 3. In a cruel twist of fate, Lola Saunders exited the competition in 12th place, while Chloe Paige lost her place in the competition to Josh in the sing-off, leaving Maris with only one act in week 2.

Tonight, the remaining 10 acts will be tackling Floor Fillers. So put on your dancing shows, as you're going to be swinging by the end of the show. One act will be leaving us tonight, and of course there's the position reveal twist to look forward to at the end.

I'm getting ahead of myself, my apologies. Allow me to introduce the top 10 and their mentors, including our new panel member!
