Ever Fallen In Love (With A Clifton You Shouldn't've)
I'm starting to like Joanne in a guilty pleasure type way. Her new look works for me and I'm finding her voice/manner quite sweet. She's not as bad as the other citizens of Cliftonville really, is she? I mean, she'd never do anything as self-indulgent as Kevin's training hat this week.
Anyone else have Clifton confessions to make? |

I love Joanne. Superb dancer and she's delivered some fantastic choreography this year too. Karen also seems really lovely. Kevin I'm pretty neutral on, although I am loving him and Louise this year - the first time I've ever said that about Kevin and one of his partners.

I've had a pash for Kevin since he started. It's diminishing this series, not sure why. I go and up and down with Karen, though I'd defend her and think she's a great dancer. I'm not keen on Jo.
Love the OP title

Love Karen - she's one of my fave pros and has been ever since how she handled the Ola nonsense.
Really like Jo too and like Kevin fine, although he's not my fave of the male pros to watch and I tend to find his choreography a bit safe. All three Cliftons seem like thoroughly lovely people though who make it so enjoyable for their celebs- I think they're a great addition to the show. (That's an extremely unpopular opinion on here. )

I can hand on heart state that I am, mercifully, free from Clifton cravings and longings. If that ever changes, my family have been instructed to have me committed for the safety of myself and others.

I think Joanne is a revelation this year. The first year she danced and last year in the pro routines I didn't like watching her as she was always pulling funny "Karen Hardy" faces and her VTs on ITT were dreadful, such a strange voice. BTW love Karen Hardy and really want her to replace Len as head judge but she pulls funny faces when she dances. Anyway back to Joanne, I think her choreography is very good and she choreographs to her partner's strengths which not all professionals do. Remember her Halloween dance to "the Addams family"? I know she's been having acting lessons and I think has also done some straight acting in the last 12 months and so because of that I think she's toned the voice and facial expressions down.
Karen Clifton seems ok but it was a very bitchy thing that she said to Ola, although it was still blown up out of all proportion in the papers which was neither woman's fault. Kevin, well he's just Kevin, Kevin from Grimsby, Kevin training in the silly hat, Kevin in the silly glasses trying to look intelligent, Kevin who can't choreograph segments involving benches.......... etc etc etc. |

Half a dozen loons seem to have signed up in the last week. Maybe they will achieve critical mass and implode.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |

The horror of liking Cliftons. Positive, talented people who make the experience great for their celebs.

I like the female Cliftons a lot.
Kevin I am less enthusiastic about, but then again he usually has enough enthusiasm to go around! Not a "hater though, mostly just wish they'd stop mentioning Grimsby and that he'd stop trying to dress like a hipster when not in costume. |

Kevin has grown on me. Am liking him a lot this series. Maybe being with someone less OTT than Suzanne or Kellie does it.

However she really won me over with Dave Myers - just for the joy and energy of that first dance he had and I think she's done that with the less able just made it fun for them and encouraged them to really give their all. Yes ok some of the stuff is gimmicky but it's fun to watch mostly. Kevin I think someone raised a really good point with him - I said he's not been given a dud yet and they pointed out that he's been given not that many obvious ringers either - neither Susannah or Kellie were - he made them good and bought out the best in them. Yes they were a tad over-rated at times and not the best but he made them contenders. I liked him with Susannah and I liked his showdance for Frankie Bridge. I'm a bit more on the fence about him but he probably doesn't deserve the levels of hate he gets in some quarters. |

I like Karen - she seems to be a really good partner to all her celebs, and a good teacher, though she is sometimes a bit manic for my liking and I'm not a huge fan of her dancing. Kevin has always irritated me, but not the extent he seems to offend half the forum for no reason whatsoever. I don;t particularly rate his dancing or choreography, but he certainly seems to get the best out of his partners. And I've always liked Joanne - she tried her hardest to teach Scott proper ballroom, she's doing a great job with Ore (that awful Tango choreography aside) and I think she's a fabulous dancer. |

I didn't know Karen was married to Kevin.
I was getting all confused. I thought Karen was another sister of Joanne but then I thought "they look nothing alike!" ![]() Just found out Karen was called Karen Hauer and she changed her surname when she married Kevin. Yes, now I think about it, I remember she wasn't called Karen Clifton when she joined the show. But I had no idea she married Kevin. Wow. (I feel kinda stupid)

She's no Oksana but you've got to admire Joanne's choreography. And other attributes.
Hard to know with Kevin, always seems positive & encouraging but he's never had a bad partner. That will be the real test. Karen I'm not so keen on but she seems to really put her heart into her choreography. |

Love the OP title ![]() Actually warming to Jo, her partner is softening her. The choreography she does is great too. Love Louise with Kevin. |
