I thought so too. I wonder if he is going to replace Len. Anton is 45 so this might be his last season.

I've always thought that he would be a good replacement for Bruce. Much as I like Tess and
Claudia I feel it needs something or someone else and he has that bit of humour that would suit the show.

Don't hate him, just think he's looked really old this year, I find him a bit cheesy so I'm not up for him replacing anyone. Time to make a move my son. That's why Neil and Chloe have been brought in to eventually replace people like Anton. I'm not ageist ( nearly as old myself) but, Lesley showed him up, energy wise!

He may have all that, it doesn't mean he'd be a good presenter. There's far more to it.
Plus he'd be as hamstrung by what the producers wanted him to do as much as Tess is.

He will only leave the dance floor to become a judge on the panel. Let's face it if Alesha Dixon can do it anyone can

You may be right, but at least he'd have a head start!

He will be there dancing when he's on his zimmer.

I think he'd be good as a Brucie replacement - i.e. with Tess as co-presenter (and someone to keep him in check).

Claudia should be restricted to the Clauditorium in my view.

And that would probably be the best "partner" he'd ever get to have on SCD!!!

Anton is 50. I definitely think it's time to retire him.

I hope he isn't going to be Len's replacement. I would rather have Brendan.

Aren't the BBC in talks with Carolyn Smith for Head Judge?

All of this, I would like him to be host, maybe along with Tess, who I have to admit, has improved enormously since being Brucie's stooge.

I thought he looked terrible during the vote off, as if he already knew their fate, but if he was ill, that would account for it.

I actually loved him presenting 'Step Up To The Plate, I thought he was a natural. And loved 'Hole In The Wall' - so funny! I believe it was the series that was dropped, not Anton, as his dissenters would prefer to believe.

Used to like Claudia in It Takes Two, but since then she has become really annoying in all of her presenting jobs.

No he wasn't.

He was in an appalling show called Step up to the Plate (only watched it once out of curiosity). Don't remember him in RSC though.

If Anton is leaving it will his own decision, as none of the pros know, at this stage, who is going to be offered a further contract until about the April prior to that year's series.

As for who is going to replace Len, if only half the rumours are vaguely true, the beeb must be in talks with half the people in the dance world (plus a few outside it!!!!!) But I'd guess Anton would stand as much chance as anyone else - when they get round to making a decision.

Don't change the winning formula that is the show at the moment as that is the way XFactor lost its' viewers. I didn't like Bruce much.

I wouldn't mind if Anton replaced Len as he deserves it after all the bad dancers he has had to deal with. Give him a year to see if it works. At least he has a good equable temperament to balance the other two male judges.

Agreed! The BBC gave him a couple of shows as host a few year's ago. I assumed at the time they were preparing him to replace Bruce when he retired. Now would be a good time (in my opinion) to let him host the show. He has more natural wit than Tess, and is great with ad-libs - something you always need on a live show.

Give him a go!

I think he would make a better Host than a judge, must be difficult to judge one's fellow Pros, even though we know it's the celebs that are supposed to be judged, it does tend to include the Pro. Although I suppose he could be the 'nice judge' to counteract Craig's 'nasty judge'.

I do think Anton would be a safe choice for Len''s replacement, nobody could really complain too much and he''s been with the show since its inception- Also he''s very qualified to talk about 10 dance and technique so I do think it may be better the devil you know in this case

He would be an awful host - Forsyth Mk. II, making it all about himself.

Tess is fine, does what is required, but I agree that Claudia (whom I used to love) is getting a little tiring.

Presenting live TV? Anton thinks 'natural' is a turn to the right.

Please no to him being a judge or presenter. I find him beyond irritating with his mememe schtick.
