Linx 12v64 Win 10 Tablet
Does this Tablet exist as I can't seem to find it anywhere other than Amazon, and it is not in stock for 1 to 2 months?
I've seen the Linx 12v32 on the Argos site, but both don't seem to be on the official Linx site. It looks quite impressive at 12in with 4gb ram and 64gb storage. |

ebuyer have it in stock. it says EDU only but unlike another item marked EDU only that asks you to contact sales to buy, it has a buy link. theres a seller on ebay but it's out of stock. maybe it's intended for the education market and not intended for general sale. at £370 it's much more expensive than the linx 7 i'm currently playing about with, but it seems well specced. the linx 7 for £50 was a great bargain although i've not really used it much for anything as the screen is a bit too small to use easily with windows. i have to use teamviewer to adjust settings and upgrades etc

Are you talking about this one, the linxtablet forum mentioned it was an argos only limited edition.

I mainly wanted a big screen tablet for ebook reading as my eye sight is going and I'm finding it difficult to read on a smaller screen. |

The 12v32 is available but that only has 2gb ram and 32gb storage.
I'd prefer at least 4gb to run win10. |

I'd prefer at least 4gb to run win10. Also worth checking - whilst some have 4gb, if they're still running a 32 bit build of the OS (which seems probable), you won't be able to use all of that memory. |

Win 10 runs absolutely fine in 2gb .. I have a couple of Win 10 tablets that both have 2gb and seem to run most apps as well as my laptop (which is an i7 with 8gb on board).

Well, that's what the 32 and 64 in the name tells you.

Not very good reviews for the Linx 12v32 so far.
Saying it is too laggy. |

Nope, that denotes the amount of storage on the devices, 32gb or 64gb.
All the ones designated 32 have 32 GB and are 32bit. All the ones designated 64 have 64 GB and are 64bit. Unless you know differently? |

I take it EDU means for Educational institutions only?

I assume that you've tried an ebook reader, like the Kindle, which allows you to increase the font size?

But I did have a 7in ereader and the problem was that if you increase the font size you end up having to keep flicking pages as there is less text on the page. Fine for novels but not for magazines where the text is in columns. |

![]() I'm glad I got the 64 edition and for £200 rather than £330 or more on Amazon. Even with the taxi fare, the deal saved me £100. And it is pretty good for reading PDFs of magazines. |

Here is a youtube video of someone reviewing the Tablet. It mentions the poor sound and also shows the lag between clicking and icon and the program opening which can lead to multiple programs opening. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to pay £330 for it. But it is just about worth it for £200. The speakers can be got around with either headphones or adding external speakers. |
