I remember it clearly, he had some very loyal supporters. And things were pretty heated between Rydian/Leon fans so that is something that came up a lot. I never had heard people complain about the so-called 'Scottish vote' before that year. I couldn't have cared less who won so I don't think Im making it up.

I have been a long time lurker of these forums, I don't remember people ever admitting they voted for Leon purely because he was Scottish. Also if this so called Scottish vote exists why isn't he doing better? He wouldn't be in the bottom three all the time if every Scottish person was being a sheep and voting on him because of his accent.

Louis wanted everyone in Scotland to vote for him, and the forum took sides, it was gross overall. I was fighting Simon to stop all the rot. Louis helping Leon to win didn't do any favours for Leon in the end. Hope he's doing better these days

Who is the "we" you refer to. Emma will there for a long time to come imo and she is 3rd Fav to win.
This app save thing has been a terrible idea coz all it has proved so far is that the young "fit" male will always benefit from it (Frankie in Week 1, Ryan in Week 2 and 3).

It is a good point, as the teens could vote for the Main show just as easily as using the app later on. Could be that it isn't teens who are keeping him in?
If there is genuinely such a thing as the Scottish vote and if its influence is as all powerful and encompassing as is stated here I only have one question:

I personally feel that it's a blend of the Scottish vote uniting without Emily being available to vote for, and the teen girl vote also uniting on him without Matt Terry being in the vote.

I'd say the Scottish vote (if there is one) is all going to Emily, who despite being sooooo boring is a million times better than Ryan IMO.
Emily is better than Ryan. But to be fair Ryan is pretty weak.
I'm more embarrassed that Ryan is Scottish. Wouldn't vote for him or Emily because of their accent. In the app vote tonight my votes all went to Relley.

The best Scottish contestant this year never even made it to the lives. She was sabotaged at JH by a rogue keyboard player and unfortunately wasn't skinny enough for live TV
