The spinning wheel of death has definitely randomly just decided the acts will be singing Fright Night tunes on Halloween weekend. What would you have them sing?

Honey G - A Nightmare On My Street/ You Say Honey, I Say Simpleton (Will Smith/ Honey G)
Saara - Wuthering Heights (Kate Bush - her cover is sublime!)

Matt - Ghost (Ella Henderson)
Ryan - Demons (Imagine Dragon)

5 After Midnight - In The Night (The Weeknd)
Four of Diamonds - Drag Me Down (One Direction)

Gifty - I Put A Spell On You (Screamin' Jay Hawkins)
Emily - Burn (Ellie Goulding)
Sam - Sweet Dreams (Beyonce)

Absolutely guaranteed someone will do Black Magic

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Hotter Than He'll by Dua Lipa somewhere in the mix

No thriller?

I hope 4oD don't perform ET next week because they're gonna pale in comparison to Little Mix if they do that.

I think Ghost will probably be performed by someone, not really sure who... maybe Emily?

Ben haenow smashed demons in the final .. could anyone top it?

Matt Terry - Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis (I can't think of anything for him lol)
Ryan Lawrie - Creep by Radiohead (the show picks off spooky titles)
Emily Middlemas - Thriller by Michael Jackson (the Aiden Grimshaw version)
Gifty Louise - Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics
Samantha Lavery - Mr Writer by Stereophonics
5 After Midnight - The Monster by Eminem
4 Of Diamonds - Freak Like Me by Sugababes
Saara Alto - Looking Glass by The Birthday Massacre (they could make the staging look creepy with this song)
Honey G - One Of Those Nights by Juicy J

I really struggled with this as Halloween isn't really a genre or style to be able to categorize properly imo.

Honey G - A Nightmare On My Street - Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff
Sara - Stay - Shakespears Sister
Matt - Bring Me To Life - Evanescence

Four of Diamonds - Things That Go Bump in the Night - Allstars

Gifty - Disturbia - Rihanna
Emily - Wuthering Heights - Kate Bush
Sam -??

Other songs:
Thriller and Ghostbusters obviously
Frozen - Madonna

I would like to see Saara do Burn the Witch by Radiohead. Contemporary as it is a 2016 song, it is an on theme title and she is the only contestant remotely worthy of covering such a legendary act.

Saara - Creep by Radiohead
4 Of Diamonds - Hotter Than Hell by Dua Lipa
Matt - Some Nights by fun.
Gifty - Black Cat by Janet Jackson (something different again but brimming with the attitude that she brings)

Wuthering Heights or Phantom of the Opera for Saara.

Saara - Wake Up Call (Maroon 5) or Funhouse (Pink) Depending on what style she goes for Pink could be wackier which worked for her this week (a few other {ink tracks could fit the theme but I like the reference to evil clowns in Funhouse, it's topical!) but the Maroon 5 track would showcase her voice better - similarly to Evanescence tracks but this song may surprise viewers more. She's my favourite anyway (hence getting two choices!) so I hope she chooses wisely!

Honey G - Bad Babysitter (Princess Superstar) She'd have to tone down the sexual references of the original, but could replace that with her usual fare, the song also has plenty of spooky lines! Alternatively she could try singing properly, something iconic like I Will Always Love You - we'd all have nightmares after that!

Matt - Dead Man Walking (The Script) - Album track but they're my favourite band so I wanted to hear one of their tracks used, an album track won't harm Matt's chances yet, especially not such a good one!

Ryan - Monster (The Automatic) A bit of fun, surprised this one isn't used more often on Fright Night, shouldn't be too taxing for him.

4 0f Diamonds - Black Heart (Stooshe) but with an added refrain of "Little Shop of Horrors" (The style of "Little Shop..." would suit them but not sure how hard hitting would be on its own.) Not a mash up like they did this week, just the Stooshe song with "Little Shop" blended in if that makes sense, there are 4 of them so I'm sure they could manage it!

Emily - She Wolf (Shakira) Well, she did promise Rylan she'd go uptempo next week, this song isn't too much of a belter for her!

Gifty - Disturbia (Rihanna) Upbeat but credible, she should be able to perform it well too.

Sam - Poison (Rita Ora) Should be more within her capabilities than other songs she's tried, it's current and seems to suit her vocal style.

5 After Midnight - Scream (Usher) Would suit them, which is a bonus after a tough week. To add to the spooky song title and spooky band name, they could make the visual side of the performance more Halloween.

Doubt these will be the songs chosen though, we'll get Thriller and probably another Jedward rip off from Honey with Ghostbusters lol!

We can but hope!

Ah yes forgot about Dua Lipa, think it may be better for Gifty than 4oD as it may not have much scope for harmonies...

But whatever happens we'll get Relight My Fire and Tainted Love

They could sing some songs by Alice Cooper or Rob Zombie.

I think Saara could hack a Nightwish song. Anette era would be safer but she might be able to pull out a Tarja tune as well. Failing that, Evanescence will work too. If on the cleared list, she probably would opt for Wuthering Heights though.

I'd like to see Creep sung by either Emily or Ryan, to push them and the real test here is to believe it, to get some emotion into it as opposed to performing it robotically. The other could then do Tainted Love.

Gifty could do Disturbia or I Put a Spell On You, as already suggested.

Werewolves of London is a wonderful song, and out of this lot the only one I would give it to is Matt.

I'd want 4OD to do something other than a traditionally girl group song, although it might be interesting to see them attempt Black Magic. Still, I'd rather they stepped out a little and took on something that doesn't come ready made for a group. Zombie by The Cranberries maybe.

Sam - Sympathy For the Devil or Rip Her To Shreds

5AM - I really hope they're not allowed to go near Everybody (Backstreets Back). Ghostbusters would be an easy one for them, but also very much in the cheese-zone that they now are going to want to avoid. They could have some fun doing Monster Mash.

Honey G - don't care to even think of a suggestion

Wow, that cover really is sublime! I can picture an amazing production for this with Saara looking all ghostly and ethereal as she haunts the stage in her quirky manner.
Make it happen X Factor!
I do think the Halloween theme suits Saara the most out of all the contestants as it plays right into her theatrical strengths. I just hope she doesn't get screwed over with an awful song choice.

Matt Terry: Sympathy for the Devil (The Rolling Stones)
Ryan Lawrie: Beautiful Monster (Ne Yo)

Emily Middlemass: Zombie (The Cranberries)
Gifty Louise: I Put A Spell On You (Sonique version)
Samantha Lavery: Just Like Fire (Pink)

5 After Mindight: Scream (Michael Jackson)
Four of Diamonds: Black Heart (Stooshe)

Honey G: Nightmare On My Street (DJ Jazzy & The Fresh Prince)
Saara Aalto: Wuthering Heights (Kate Bush)

EDIT: I hadn't read the thread before posting but can see we're all having similar thoughts on a few. Which means the producers won't go anywhere near them...

Listening to her voice, Sam might get away with Ghost (Ella Henderson) actually. May be better than Just Like Fire.

5 After Midnight - 'Scream' by Usher

Honey G - 'Honey G' Part 255 by Honey G - reckon it'll likely be 'Creep' by TLC though which pains me as I love that song

Sam Lavery - 'Paint It Black' by The Rolling Stones or 'I Put A Spell On You' by Screaming Jay Hawkins
Gifty Louise - 'Hotter Than Hell' by Dua Lipa or if anyone is gonna get 'Thriller' I imagine it being her
Emily Middlemiss - 'Dark Horse' by Katy Perry acousticified obviously

Ryan Lawrie - 'Firework' by Katy Perry - they'll give him something to do him in for good
Matt Terry - 'Ghost' by Ella Henderson
