Ryan Lawrie - Heathens by twenty one pilots (Boyce Avenue version)

I'm sorry but in what shape or form does Creep by TLC qualify as a Halloween song?!
The song is about infidelity and doesn't have a "spooky" sound....in fact it is about as far away from a halloween-themed song one can get

Honey G - A Nightmare On My Street/ You Say Honey, I Say Simpleton (Will Smith/ Honey G)
Saara - Wuthering Heights (Kate Bush - her cover is sublime!)

Matt - Ghost (Ella Henderson)
Ryan - Demons (Imagine Dragon)

5 After Midnight - In The Night (The Weeknd)
Four of Diamonds - Drag Me Down (One Direction)

Gifty - I Put A Spell On You (Screamin' Jay Hawkins)
Emily - Burn (Ellie Goulding)
Sam - Sweet Dreams (Beyonce)”

Drag me Down by 1d hasn't got any Fright Night connotations, has it? Stockholm Syndrome by 1d would be better; 'Baby look what you've done to me/You've got me tied down.'

Spies and Shiver by Coldplay would be good, also practically anything by The Cure, Interpol or Bring Me the Horizon.

Adding to my previous suggestions:

Matt Terry - Jet Black Heart by 5SOS

Sam may also try Marry The Night (Lady Gaga) as she sang it in a Teen Star competition

why would anyone think Black Heart or Freak Like Me are decent song choices for 4OD...

Sam may do Marry The Night (Lady Gaga) as she's on Youtube singing it in a Teen Star competition, she's not amazing at it but probably better than most songs she's performed on the show so far. Personally, I don't think she's ready for this yet - I don't think the producers/judges do either which is why they're allowing her to do well for the time being.

If she was to sing MTN, I'd give my original suggestion for her (Poison) to 5 After Midnight, rather than Scream, It's a bit spookier, and would force them to focus more on their vocals.

By the way it's occurred to me that my suggestion of Dead Man Walking for Matt would fit with his sob story of being dumped - in terms of the competition it would be more approrpiate for Ryan but I'll keep hm on Monster.

You know how unimaginative they are

I wouldn't be surprised if Simon wheels this song out for one of his girls:

Probably Sam or Gifty

And they might recycle this for Four of Diamonds:

You could pretty much have a joint theme of Halloween and XF albmni, some of the links would be tenuous but that would happen anyway!

Saara - When We Collide by Matt Cardle (Its original title is Many of Horror, and that line's still in there...) or The Silence by Alexandra Burke if deemed spooky enough, they could play on it being a deathly silence, it would be a good follow up to It's Oh So Quiet...but if not, I'd love to hear it at some point anyway!

Honey G - The "rap" section of Heart Skips a Beat (Olly ft. Rizzle Kicks - she'd need a hand with the chorus but the rap mentions the horror film Saw.)
Emily - The Boy Who Murdered Love (Diana Vickers - my favourite Diana song, then again she could also try My Wicked Heart...)
Sam - Bones (Rebecca Ferguson (If she's gonna sound painful and out of tune then she may as well sing a song by someone else who does lol!)
Gifty - Beat Agan by JLS (Not too loyal to the original, a kind of Live Lounge version...lots of references to the spooky subject of death!)
5 After Midnight - Midnight Memories by 1D (For obvious reasons, might work anyway!)
4OD - Ghost by Ella Henderson (Fairly likely anyway, definitely better for them than whatever that song was in the sing off!)
Matt - Black Magic (Little Mix) Rather that than a copycat version by 4OD which would be destined for criticism by the judges!
Ryan - Bleeding Love by Leona (Someone will get this, probably not him but whatever he sings he's in trouble so he might as well give it a go "making it his own!"0

In most cases, I still prefer my original picks, but thought it'd be a bit of fun to try the double theme after seeing a few XF alumni;s songs listed here!

not sure what "my immortal" has to do with halloween apart from the fact any time i have ever seen someone on a talent show try to sing it they have horribly murdered it

The theme is Fright Night, not specifically Halloween. It encompasses songs that are spooky, eerie, haunting or cover scary topics like death and the afterlife.

ok, i can see that as a link

still think no-one should go near the song as they cant hope to get anywhere near doing it as well as Amy Lee

I love that song when Amy Lee sings it her vocal send a shiver down your spine as it is so haunting. Never heard anyone else sing this as good as her with the exception of Andrea Begley on The Voice a few years back - worth listening to.
Can't see anyone this year do the song justice. Maybe Sam but not sure her voice would be haunting enough to carry it through

you really have to be kidding about the andrea begley version, it was terrible, there was none of the emotion that you hint at in the original whatsoever

I'll actually like Matt for the first time if he pulls that off.

Someone needs to do this version of Somebody's Watching Me by Rockwell https://youtu.be/Utr5FwFOisg Preferably Samantha should get this, but I also think I would consider testing this out on Emily as it's a ballad structure, but it has an actual atmosphere to it.

My Immortal... the undead. A ghost. HUGE Halloween connotations.

Which one? The Specials, Madonna, Adam Lambert...

-x-

I can't believe Disturbia has never been chosen for Halloween Week. It's a hit song by one of the biggest popstars on the planet. Probably the closest thing to another 'Thriller' we have.
big bang theory

Disturbia would be butchered by this lot as the talented acts don't sing that style, and the ones that it would be most likely given to (4OD) would butcher the song.

The video for that song was very good although the family of Gordon Murray weren't best pleased

We're talking about a show that has used 'Bleeding Love', 'Relight My Fire' and 'Let Me Entertain You' in Halloween week
