The Pixel is sold via Google for use on any network. Carphone Warehouse and Currys will also sell it on a contract for any network (bar Three, mind) or SIM-free.

VoLTE is a must for all 4G networks, but Vodafone should (and is) prioritising by switching 2G 900 and some 3G 2100 to 4G. That makes sense and 3G 900 should actually be quite good for a lot of people.

It possibly doesn't help that Vodafone and O2 are doing upgrades slightly different, so how a site is configured seems to vary because of that, which strikes as being less organised than it perhaps could have been.
Jon do you mean switching 2G 900 to 4G 900?

2G 900 is being moved to 3G 900, so now two carrier 3G 900 in places.
3G 2100 to 4G 2100
2G 1800 to 4G 1800.
Moving 900 to 4G would not be ideal at this point because of CS voice requirements that justify two 3G 900 carriers.

Oh, no. I meant 2G 900 to 3G 900. Should have read back what I wrote before posting.

VoLTE would be handy from a Wifi Calling handoff point of view. I've had trouble before when I'm in a pub, get a call over Wifi Calling but when I go outside so I can speak away from the noisy pub the call drops :/ Presumably on EE this would now handoff fine to VoLTE.

Yep it does handoff very well, only a small interruption of about 1 second which is very impressive.
