I mean if that really is the case and you could be totally right, then we can assume right now that its a done deal - no matter what Saara performed tomorrow, Matt would come out on top in any case.
He could come out, fart, burp and still the teenie girls would vote for him to win.

The only thing that matters is votes. Vote as much as you can for Sara, that's the only thing that matters at the moment not odds.
That's the way of thinking, I haven't even looked at the odds - you really can not go by them, they know just as much as we do.

Did they get the Brexit result right, Nope. The US election, Nope. They didn't even call this year's Eurovision winner and had Russia as winners at even shorter odds than Matt is right now!

As you said, its all down to those votes.

She is singing "Oh so quiet" tomorrow
That means that the producers i.e. Simon wants Matt to win. The duet tonight was all geared up to Matt and so will tomorrows show.

Why do we suddenly think Matt has it in the bag though? As far as I'm aware, there has been no evidence that his following is so big. For all we know, Saara may have been topping the vote for the past 3 weeks

As I said before, the bookies had to shorten Matt's odds, they have no choice now.

Guys, remember how awesome Oh so quiet was as a performance? Yeah? That was the turning point for Saara - that's when people realized what she is capable of. My initial reaction was that it's an odd choice for the final evening, but... I bet they were thinking: which performance will benefit from a huge stage and big production. That's the one: that is the performance that can - quite literally - fill the whole Wembley arena and turn it into an awe-inspiring fantasyland. I just hope they get it right.
She ended up in the sing-off two weeks later though again. It was a great performance at the time as it worked in showing a different quirky side to keep her out of the sing-off for a third consecutive week.
However, it is completely wrong for a final and it certainly isn't her best of the series.
If they wanted an uptempo, "Enough is Enough" would have been a much better choice.
I mean Saara didn't even perform "Oh So Quiet" at her homecoming gig

Exactly. I don't know why this forum has turned into a sudden panicked mess that it's all over. Matt did have a good night but there's still another show to go through tomorrow and the winners single which we haven't heard yet. Anything can happen, it's all down to the votes at the end of the day.

Keep voting for Saara guys. Yes it's disappointing to see the bookies now have Matt as the favourite but this is far from over and your votes can make all the difference.

Think of some things you were planing of buying and then think how much you'd prefer to see Saara win XF. You can help make that happen.

Whether she wins or not is down to us. Together we can do this. Please vote.

It's Oh So Quiet was a fun performance to help her scrape out of the bottom 2 in Week 3 from the pimp slot.

The final is not, however, the time for kooky novelty songs. You are supposed to be winning over the floating voters which this will definitely not do.

In some way, coming 2nd would be better for Saara anyway.

Someone just pointed out to me that if Matt is singing the 'bond song', that mean's Saara will ultimately have the only uptempo song in the entire final. They are absolutely right, yes ok it is not her best song, we all know that - but it will stand out like a sore thumb against Matt's ballad.

I really don't think this is going to be as bad as we think, she has a much bigger stage to be performing this on, with an increased production budget and a whole arena full of people to chant for her. This could actually work out better for her than say 'The Winner Takes it All' where she would be sitting at a piano (something we already saw tonight!)

Chin up guys, she's still well in this race!

at evens it's still good odds for her, but now that it's final two it looks like a brexit referendum, so it's difficult to see her winning

I sometimes think that she would be better not wi Ning. She has performed fantastically and shown her talent .she would get snapped up no problems and would be able to do what she wants instead of getting contract then dumped.

This is CLEARLY going to be another Ben Heanow and Fleur story. Though I believe Saara is a better vocalist than Fleur who is a great performer herself, in a year or so's time, it's Saara who will succeed over Matt. I wanted her to get Top 2 and she has so she's already accomplished a huge deal. Coming second might be the best thing so she has that freedom to sign with whoever she wants and carve the career SHE wants not Simon or Syco.

Matt & Saara will sing the same winner's song. That's when we see who's the singer. They both sang Sia's Alive and Saara sang it way better by a mile.

Saara to win!

Wow, over a million people in Finland watched the X Factor live last night- about 20% of the population.

Hopefully they will follow Nicole's instructions and "support their own" via the phone app.

I actually don't think "It's Oh So Quiet" is a bad choice. When she first sung it, it very much was a "moment" at the time, as well as that it was arguably that performance that turned everything around for her.
