I agree, unfortunately. When she was half way though that horrible mess/mash up I got a feeling that she'd been set up and sabotaged as her first song really outshone all the other contestants. For her to have two songs that would have made all the other contestants look dire was too much for someone, I wouldn't be surprised if it was done on purpose.

I wouldn't read too much into the second song in terms of her overall chances. She still seems to have a fair bit of momentum behind her.

It would have made much sense of course to sing the ABBA song second.....maybe she's getting a bit too popular for their liking?

Well, I can confirm that I have done my 10 (TEN) votes for Saara (5 on my current mobile phone and 5 on my old mobile phone).

I actually thought her diamonds mash up wasn't too bad, it would appeal to the 'performance' voters in the same way as TWTIA would appeal to the serious voters. May be a clever move by appealing to two different demographics. She gave her absolute all in both though for me.

Easily the best singer and I want her to win.

I worry about that Diamonds mash up.

Was it really her idea ??????

She is currently second favourite to win on Betfair.

Not bad for an act that was in the sing off in the first 2 weeks.

Her first performance alone should be enough to send her straight into the next round easily. But with Honey G/producers using a popular online viral trend to pull in votes, you never know.

Yes, it definitely was, because it's clear that she sees her future on a West End stage in a big musical like Chicago and sees the XF as her show reel. She's already done this in Europe. Every time I see Saara I'm reminded that she's already a successful professional singer and, as such, has NO place in this competition.

Hopefully, the Diamonds mash up made this obvious to other people as well, those who are voting for her because she has the best voice. Yes, she does have the best voice, people noticed this years ago and signed her up.

If she wins, lots of professional musical theatre singers might swamp next year's XF. They need to draw a line somewhere. It's not a competition for professional singers who have released albums and starred in musical theatre.

As if they're going to pass Judges' Houses

She reached the Top 5 fair and square.

Just popping in to say her first performance tonight was one of the best talent show vocals I've ever seen. Simply phenomenal.

I'm actually going to keep tabs on her after the show, I think.

Hiya I've been wanting to post here for a while. I think Sara has an incredible range and vocal talent, streets ahead of the rest. I haven't voted in years but I think i will throw her a vote tonight. Her performance yesterday was incredible. How great would it be if a underdog like her made the finals? She reminds me a bit of Ruth Lorenzo, who I also backed. Both from a different country, both underdogs and both queens of the sing off.

It's not that she was struggling in the first few weeks but has improved since, more that she was being screwed over in the voting for being a foreigner.

Yeah it would have made much more sense to do the Abba performance second.
Diamonds was perfectly executed and entertaining, but it was a straight up musical theatre audition piece
It's like they want to show us how amazing Saara can be, but then kill her momentum again in case it gets too out of hand

I don't think the 2nd performance was as bad as people are making it out to be. Was it the right song to do this week? No. Will it cost her votes? No way to be sure. The only way she's safe is if we vote.

I think the diamonds song might've been more of Saara's own doing. She might've been given too much say in the performance. Of course we will never know, but I've never seen Saara as a genius in terms of connecting with the audience.

As she said in her X Factor audition tape, she came to X Factor because she needed help. I still think she needs help to create the excellent shows she's capable of. She really might be more of a performer rather than a really good singer/song(/play)writer

She's not a recording artist but she'd be wonderful as the lead in a West End show and hopefully this will happen for her.

I agree that her second peformance wasnt in anyway bad. She put on a show thats for sure. Is it one of her best performances? No. I wouldn't rank it in my top 5 but she still managed to entertain and show of her vocals. Really I don't think it will be detrimental to her votes. I do think she needs to rein in her theatrics though. It's fine in certain quantities but sometimes the production takes it a little too far. I do agree with simon that her second song was cheesy. I felt it was more Andrew Lloyd Webber than X factor. However the first performance she absolutely nailed and that's what the viewers will remember. Fingers crossed.

It's going to be so close tonight.

But in last few hours, bookies are moving towards a honey g vs 5am sing off, and saara is becoming a firmer second favourite to win!

I wonder if it's true that voters from Finland have found a way to vote via the app?
If so, her vote might collapse if they found a way to stop this ?! Argh ! So tense ...

Of course she's a recording artist.

There is always an audience for very good singers
