Been noticing Ore keeps referencing Joanne as his new best friend and mate etc
I think he's saying this so no one assumes it is going to develop into anything else..
I think it's a bit rude when a guy calls a girl mate.

Surely preferable than the ridiculous nonsense that says a guy and girl can't have a close, platonic relationship?

He could just say friend or use her name.
I do think it's weird he needs reassurance from his wife.

Why? If they are friends it is nothing more than an expression.

How does he need reassurance from his wife? Both he & Jo are in relationships - they get on, they're friends and that's what they call each other. I know Ore's the whipping boy on here right now but I'm struggling to see what this stick being used to beat him with is actually about.

People started reaching for reasons to diss Ore so hard now I'm worried their arms are going to pop out of joint.

I just wouldn't be shocked if it turns into something else next year.
He is being too nice which is slightly fake perhaps.

With regards to the mate Jo should keep doing the same to him on camera.
I feel he may be saying it so we the audience can hear.

You mean romance? Between him and Jo?

That's pretty low. He seems happy with his wife and Jo seems happy with her partner.

Then again... maybe it isn't...

Do you happen to work for the Daily Mail, by any chance? This is the sort of farcical nonsense at which they excel.

Now you mention it, it does come across as a DM fishing trip.

Fans on social media questioning Ore and Jo's relationship.
Viewers were left wondering if there was more to their relationship than just a dance partnership after Ore referred to Joanne as his mate.

Being too nice is definitely a heinous offence...it can't possibly be genuine because we all know what a nefarious, manipulative fake he really is - first hiding his dance training so well that there's no record of it, then with his fake tears & his secret plotting with the judges & producers to make him win, and now with his fake niceness to hide his affair with that terrible Clifton who, I bet, is secretly behind it all. That monster.

Or they could just be getting on - as mates - or is that solution too obvious?

Hmm another interesting theory. How dare Ore assume Jo likes him

It needs a VERY in there really ... Fans took to social media VERY concerned that Ore had referred to Joanne Clifton as 'his mate' after an emotion charged waltz which wowed the audience and judges alike leaving them top of the leaderboard for the second week running. After the dance an emotional Ore was seen hugging Joanne who had her blonde tresses styled in long rippling curves for the show ...

We need some pictures of Mrs Ore too.

Smiling - putting on a brave face
Not smiling - heartbroken
Frowning - fighting to save her marriage

Walking with gloves on/hands in pockets - hiding her ring finger.
Walking with bare hands - flaunting her wedding ring in the face of rumours.

Yes. You always need a flaunting.

There used to be a time when calling someone a mate would have a completely different meaning.
