His comments were offensive and stuck in the dark ages, but they were just that... comments.

So if his comments did not breach the broadcasting code, does that mean they are saying BB were wrong to remove him?

So if his comments did not breach the broadcasting code, does that mean they are saying BB were wrong to remove him?
Was it confirmed it was those comments he was removed for, though?

I thought the theory was he was removed for comments not aired, particularly as the Bisexual comments were made a week(?) or so before he was removed?

Can anyone confirm the details here?

BB did indulge in some damage limitation by refusing to show the offensive comments, contrast that with the civilian show where they will repeat offensive comments ad nauseum for dramatic effect.

It wouldn't be his comments per se that might have breached the code, but the way in which they were broadcast. In this case, OFCOM found no reason to censure Ch5 for the way they were broadcast. They also have no particular reason to rule whether a HM should have been removed, or not. That is a matter for the judgement of the producers.
