Seen as it's going to be a 3 way final instead of a 4 way like previous years, do you think they will

A) Let all couples do 3 dances, judges pick, showdance and favourite dance then announce the winner and have 2 runners up as previous years

B) All couples dance judges pick and showdance then 1 is eliminated then 2 fight it out on favourite dance

C) Different format altogether

What are people's opinions and thoughts? I'd prefer B but I think they will stick with A for continuity

The series 8/9 format of judges' choice (back before judges' choice was code for "your worst dance") - Showdance - third place elimination - unlearned dance - favourite dance is probably my favourite.

I think it'll be B.

I'd prefer it like, StigOfTheKrump, if they did Judges Choice (ie. the judges favourite of the couples dances, not ones that could be improved), place elimination, unlearned dance, favourite dance.

I would bet dollars to donuts it'll be A, but I'm a proponant of everyone doing their two favourite routines from the series as a whole and a showdance. I like the idea that everyone brings their big guns to the final - the judges pick is ridiculously erratic in intent, and learning a new basic routine just feels a bit mundane for the grand finale.

I think they'll go for B as the show is quite long and an elimination spices things up, gets people interactive.

I think they should do what they used to do - their highest scoring ballroom and Latin dances, a third dance of the judges choice which they all have to do, and their showdance. They had to do this in 2008 which was a 3 person final because John Sergeant quit.

I hated it last year when they made some do their worst dances in order to improve on them.

It was a 3 person final in 2008 because of the semi-final debacle. The plan after John quitting was for 2. There also wasn't any "Judges Choice". It was just Best Ballroom - Best Latin - Showdance. This led to three boring foxtrots in a row and me contemplating my own mortality.

Series 8 format would be best.

All 3 of them had to do a Viennese Waltz as well as well as their best ballroom, Latin and showdance. I remember Rachel's being praised to the heavens, whilst Tom's was deemed the poorest !

I think B - but at the rate everyone is dropping like flies, they'll probably have a 2 person final, with each couple doing 5 dances, like Alesha and Matt di Angelo!
