let's face it, Jodie was a bally eyed nightmare, you'd have to have the patience of a saint to listen to her drivel without saying anything, and Pete certainly wasn't known for his patience

![]() The fact Galloway and Burns then turned on Barrymore showed them all up really.. His bashing of Bingham was totally unnecessary. 'Its black terminology, I'm just speaking to you in a language you'd understand' How anyone can defend that beggars belief to me. Then he walked off laughing as she sat crying on the sofa. How anyone could have watched that and thought that any of the preceding conversation was for her own good is incredible! I must watch a different show to some people sometimes. |

To be fair his drivel was hardly any better. Him and Galloway sticking up for Barrymore simpering in the garden then going off to batter Jodie Marsh was embarrassing. They were like teenage girls.

It's hard to view all of these interactions in the same way now when they're viewed in isolation rather than with the benefit of watching the build up and background to them on live feed first. I don't see it as them going to "batter" Jodie or "turning on" Barrymore. I see it more as patience wearing thin with both Jodie and Barrymore and them eventually being given some home truths that neither particularly wanted to hear. |

Last I heard she was doing serious documentaries and running some kind of fitness supplement business so seems she's probably matured a lot since CBB days. Good for her.

Such devastating news. A true CBB legend, who I was hoping to return for the rumored All Star series. Such Witt and charisma he had and he just didn't care what anyone thought of him. It was so admirable. Rest in Peace Pete, you will be missed
![]() Recently watched him on Celebrity Botched up Bodies and you could see how bad his health had been, especially recently. He says at the start of the programme "I hope when I'm 80 i get to heaven and god doesn't recognise me". Made me giggle watching it again but also a little sad |

It's possible to see what he was trying to achieve in that conversation with Traci without agreeing with him doing it. It wasn't pleasant viewing, it's not something I'd have done but I could see the point he was trying to make.

My patience would have worn thin with Galloway and Burns after 24 hrs. The ridiculous reaction to the banker task as well. Laughable. |

Never particularly thought highly of him as a HM and his appearances on the spin-off frequently had the appearance of just him being caustic and controversial because it was expected rather than because he had something interesting to add.
His death at a relatively young age is still sad all the same |

You have said pretty much everything I wanted to say. He was the best CBB contestant ever in the best CBB series ever. His unexpected friendships with George Galloway and Denis Rodman and (up to a point) Michael Barrymore were CBB gold, never to be equalled. Those were the days, when CBB offered intelligent, interesting, and/or witty conversation on a regular basis. RIP Pete Burns, RIP Celebrity Big Brother.
"Sad to hear of the demise of Pete Burns. He was a cross between Oscar Wilde and Dorothy Parker. You don't get more brilliant than that. RIP" - George Galloway |

I still remember her blog where she launched a bile filled attack on Pete Burns, George Galloway and Michael Barrymore (and others) where she ranted about all the "wrongs" they'd allegedly done her. And this was on Christmas Day! She hasn't changed at all and if you think she has then more fool you. She was, is and always will be a throughly nasty piece of work. |

Pffft. You clearly don't read the showbiz news (I'm shallow - don't judge me) which report on her insane online ramblings where she makes vile threats and potentially libellous comments about her soon to be ex husband every other day - not the one she married for a TV show, no - the other one she met in a car park. She even hinted that he needs to be kept away from kids but won't reveal why or the full story - probably holding out for some rag to make her an offer. Rewatcing at the moment Michael, was far far worse than Pete in the bullying against Jodie getting in her personal space, and being completely and utterly vendicitve and childish against her with no reason to back it up and then trying to pathetically elicit sympathy agianst her by crying the garden, what a nutter. Pete at least did call her out for some things that were true i.e she was complaining about the press vilifying her and then in the same token contantly taking about s3x graphically all day and night in the house which she did and then feeling sorry for herself - and her constand poor me attitude which was annoying also.
Really enjying re-watching it best series ever! |

No I was saying I could see why he got annoyed by Jodie, because she couldn't grasp that the reason she was being portrayed a certain way was because she acted that way. It would be like Pete being bitchy and then moaning over and over that he was being portrayed as bitchy. She also couldn't grasp that somebody making negative comments about her was just the same as when she made negative comments about others. In Jodies world if she made comments about other people it was fine but if anyone did it about her it was bullying.

If I ever wanted to be on BB it was that year. I would have loved to have sat right in Pete's beloved personal space and tell him what I thought about his vitriolic projection. He was like a little ball of poison who would literally expire if he didn't have someone to spit it at every couple of hours. His face tells you all you need to know about his self-loathing. He didn't have the success, wit or wherewithal to make a career out of this (heck, even the awful Katie Hopkins outdid him on that score). His career faded into little weak leaks of venom on the braindead set of BBOTs. Quote:

If that pretentious arse-wipe Burns had spoken to and about me the way he did about her; that reaction would be considered extraordinarily - admirably - mild. Burns has become a Gina-esque paradoxical hero on DSBB. He was an utter, utter pillock. |

BIB - really? Is it? What was he trying to achieve? Do you genuinely think Traci and her life and her best interests entered his narcissistic mind? So his patience wore thin, did it? If I ever wanted to be on BB it was that year. I would have loved to have sat right in Pete's beloved personal space and tell him what I thought about his vitriolic projection. His career faded into little weak leaks of venom on the braindead set of BBOTs. Jodie Marsh was and is, from my limited knowledge of her, a bit of a fool. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer; easy pickings. She's to be pitied, really; maybe even admired for making a career out of nothing. She was never 'nasty', that I recall. If that pretentious arse-wipe Burns had spoken to and about me the way he did about her; that reaction would be considered extraordinarily - admirably - mild. From what I recall at the time Traci was drunk and going on and on about how she couldn't understand why she'd been nominated. Sitting there in disbelief, repeating "I. was. nom.in.ated?" Like she couldnt process the fact that anyone could possibly nominate her. I'd have probably either ignored her or, if she insisted,.explained in a nicer way that maybe people felt she was putting on a fake smiley "I love everyone" Lala land veneer and wasn't being her true self and that the style of BB (back then) was to show your true self, warts and all. Pete doesn't really have that diplomacy and told her in a much more brutal way... and then some. Now maybe she wasn't being fake, maybe she was just a really sweet genuine person who saw the good in everything and everybody but people like that can, rightly or wrongly, come across as "Too sweet to be wholesome"(as my nan used to say). |

If that pretentious arse-wipe Burns had spoken to and about me the way he did about her; that reaction would be considered extraordinarily - admirably - mild. One example I can think of is when she got married the first time, for an MTV show, she said her cake was being made by Mr Kipling and they had stopped production in the factory just to make the French fancies for her cake. Quick as a flash, an e-mail was fired off to Mr Kipling HQ who confirmed that hadn't happened. I know that is a really small thing but it is just lie after lie with her and it all mounts up and then, when she gets caught out, she runs away. So please believe me when I say she is a nasty, bitter, vile person. Even when she tries to keep a lid of it, the mask soon slips and it starts seeping out somewhere. She can't help it. I want to scream at these idiots who say "I like Jodie, she's intelligent and makes good documentaries" that they really have no idea what she's really like. Why do you think she can't stay married or in a relationship for more than a few months? |
