It's funny but Dead of Alive have a complete anthology boxset coming out this week of everything they ever did including unreleased tracks, remixes etc.

RIP Pete - you were a great popstar.

Sad news. He certainly had a very clever way to attract attention in the media well past his days as a pop star.

Pete Burns was a controversial figure but blimey didn't see that one coming. Yet another famous singer/musician joins the big band in the sky. RIP Pete.

2016: Officially the worst year for pop/rock stars dying ever.

crumbs. You Spin Me Round and Brand New Lover were great tracks. Farewell to a very colourful character

I won't mind admitting I'm absolutely gutted. Love him or loathe him, he was a character, witty and certainly unique. Big fan of his music too.

At least he always said what he thought. Could do with more of that these days.

I loved Dead or Alive. You Spin Me Round was played at my 10th birthday party. He seemed to have lost his way in the last few years.

A lot of cosmetic surgeons will be out of pocket.

I posted this when Prince died but can you imagine if there was an afterlife and Pete Burns had just joined David Bowie and Prince at their concert.

Who wouldn't want to be at that concert right now?

BIB: You are right. The most ironic thing was he was a very pretty (and I use the word deliberately) man naturally, with almost girlish features.

A real shame he went down the route of ruining himself bodily.

thats what i dont get, he was a very handsome/pretty man. i will never understand why he deliberately and repeatedly chose to look so ugly.

I wouldn't mind reading Pete Burns' autobiography.

Freak Unique: My Autobiography

Pete Burns in the 80s...

I see what you're getting at; I'm not sure I'd agree he actually looked "girlish", but I do agree with your use of the word "pretty" and the fact he was undeniably good-looking.

From what I understand, quite a bit of the plastic surgery was to correct *other* plastic surgery that had gone wrong. Even so, that's undeniably obsessive, and apparently Burns admitted he was "addicted" to plastic surgery.

Edit; Apparently legitimate interview in tabloid rag just a month back reveals it almost killed him.
