Well the end of 2016 is soon upon us so I thought we should have a look at what Radio predictions will happen in 2017, here are mine

Capital to drop local programming

News Corp to sell some stations

City 1 network programming to start on Free and Gem

Lincs fm to be put up for sale again

Government accepts deregulation in the Radio Industry.

What are your predictions?

Wide-reaching changes to the industry as a result of deregulation, making everything else seem trivial.

Chris Moyles and Vernon Kay to leave Radio X, with Johnny Vaughan moving to breakfast.

Major schedule changes at TalkRadio, with Sun/Times/Sky personalities getting shows.

Martin Collins and Neil Fox join Global Radio?
I would say Martin will join Smooth in January possibly doing the 10pm to 1pm slot currently presenterless

Neil Fox .... no.

Brian Matthews will retire from SOTS on Radio 2 with Tony Blackburn replacing him
And Len Goodman taking the Friday 7pm slot.

Dave Berry to step down from Capital London Breakfast to be replaced by Roman Kemp.

Vanessa Feltz dropped from Radio 2 with exception of covering for Jeremy Vine. Fearne Cotton to replace her.

Celador scrap Sam Fm in Bristol and Swindon and replace it with a top 40 station.

The BBC merge radio 1 and 1Xtra and create a station for the more mature listener as Gold refuses to go national.

Radio 5 rebrands as BBC news 24 (along with the BBC news channel) to make further savings. 5live sports extra becomes the new home of sport.

BBC Local Radio merge in to eg BBC radio West and only have County opt outs at Breakfast and drive.

If you mean 10pm-1am that's currently Danny Pietroni and has been for the past 12 months.

Making posts understandable seems to be a dying trend on DS.
