Whoever picks the music and the dances really hate Claudia and AJ.

A) Deaf. But not hard of hearing or with a mild hearing loss, someone completely deaf (and I speak as someone who is partially deaf).

B) Have never danced in their whole life, so has no idea of what songs suit each dance

C) Is a protege of (sleeping with) the head producer

D) All of the above combined

Louise and Kevin's song is the song I wanted Jay to have for the charleston last year, it's a gift for a charleston. Laura and Anastasia will be ok if Brendon is really better. Poor Greg, Daisy, Claudia and the Judge.

The Jo v Kevin contrast is probably the most interesting thing there. Since none of my favourites have a prayer this year I am coming round to the feeling I want Kevin to win to just get it over with, even if I find Louise nice but dull. And having a charleston might force Kevin and Louise to up a gear, which would be good.

But it's all much harder to call because Halloween is more of a costume competition. I don't think it matters if you dance well if people hate your outfits and/or can't see your face.

Let's give Dave Arch some credit.

He'll orchestrate the tunes to suit the individual dances. For example for Black Magic, I don't imagine there will be that constant "Salvation Army type bass drum."
