It might be ok he's at least seems to click with Natalie so that might help. I suppose it can't be worse than the ccc was in any case.

As much as I agree its a great piece of music, the previous Strictly versions haven´t been that inspired and Alijaz paso´s haven´t been that great either. But I hope to be positively surprised.

Just listened to Ore & Jo's Charleston music - and it is beyond AWFUL...which is a shame because Ore would be adept at characterising his dance. Now convinced that Lou & Kev will win the 'Battle of the Charleston's' this week.

Think Daisy & Aljaz have the pick of the tunes this week with L&K in a close second.

I like the song, but it seems a bit unfair to give some couples traditional (or traditional sounding) music, while other couples are given completely random/unsuitable music. How Rinder was supposed to do a decent Charleston to the Flintstones theme, I have no idea! Ore and Joanne are going to have an uphill struggle. That said, if they do manage to nail it, I think it could be a real 'Wow' dance!

I absolutely LOVE 'Bring me to life' & I think the band will be able to do a version that a good rumba can be choreographed to!!
It'll take a great vocalist to top Amy Lee but they're usually pretty adaptable on Strictly!!
Whether Greg will be up to the task of performing it I don't know? I think he might surprise us this week!!

I don't understand how this song relates to Hallowe'en! Unless it is that children are encouraged to beg for sweets!

Robert and Oksana just confirmed on the One Show that part of their moth & butterfly dance is going to involve flying, so they'll be practicing on the wires tomorrow. Wow!

Because there wouldn't be enough left with any connection with Halloween. But I agree with you, they ought to give it a rest for a few years or alternate it with Guy Fawkes week. There are plenty of unused songs about fires and explosions.

Judge Rinder and Oksana will be dancing the Paso Doble to ‘Born This Way’ by Lady Gaga

How on earth are they going to make a Paso Doble out of a song whose theme is to empower women and the gay community. While dressed as insects. They're pulling in three completely different directions

I said this in another thread yesterday, I'd much prefer this over another year of tacky costumes, props, awful theming and worst of all, terrible song choices. If they must have a Halloween night next year then they've got ten months from when the series ends to find some new songs.

One day I hope they use my ultimate guilty pleasure Things Go Bump In The Night from the Scooby Doo movie.

They could actually just have a non-spooky theme for the Hallowe'en weekend show and vary it each year, instead of the hackneyed, not-very-scary Hallowe'en theme.

So, they could have weather themed numbers... or colours..... or something else entirely.

Not more naffin' wires, it's s'pposed to be a ballroom dance programme.
OK Halloween costumes fair enough, but save from the gimmicks.

One I'm really NOT looking forward to!!

Love a good Paso but can't imagine how this song choice could possibly work!!
Danny/Oti's will take some topping this year!! Loved that routine!!

I think Michael Vaughan and Natalie danced to it a few years ago. It was rather good especially since some of the supposed better dances that year were ruddy awful. I'm a t work so can't put in a You Tube link but it should be easy to find.

Surely it'll be about how Rinder was "born this way" (ie a drab moth as compared to a more traditionally "beautiful" butterfly like Oksana) but is fierce and fabulous anyway? I presume they won't include the middle 8 about Lebanese orientals or whatever Gaga was banging on about in that bit to fill time.

I think you are getting mixed up with Michael & Natalie's Quickstep to "That Old Black Magic" in 2012

Little Mix's "Get Weird" album containing 'Black Magic' was not released until 2015.

But what tricks and treats will the Strictly spooktacular entail? Read on, if you dare to find out…

Anastacia and Brendan will be dancing the Jive to ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ by Meat Loaf - oh sweet lord this will be a Brendan car crash special

Claudia and AJ will be dancing the American Smooth to ‘Black Magic’ by Little Mix - oh what a surprise, the youngest kids get a song from a young pop group.

Daisy and Aljaz will be dancing the Paso Doble to Santa Esmeralda version of ‘Please Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’ - one of my all time favourite songs, like this interpretation of it too, Daisy could kill at this stylish dance

Danny and Oti will be dancing the Foxtrot to ‘Take Me To Church’ by Hozier - more perfect bloody dance music choices for Danny, and I do like him but it's taking the piss somewhat now. This is an amazing song, not sure I'd have Foxtrotted to it though so may prove a negative.

Ed and Katya will be dancing the Cha Cha to the Hansel Martinez version of 'Love Potion No. 9’ - another great song, please give him some actual dance moves

Greg and Natalie will be dancing the Rumba to ‘Bring Me To Life’ by Evanescence - how is this rumba!?!!! it's dramatic and angsty and should be a Paso if anything.

Judge Rinder and Oksana will be dancing the Paso Doble to ‘Born This Way’ by Lady Gaga - great song, should work well for a Paso but his facial expressions are going to kill it I suspect

Laura and Giovanni will be dancing the Tango to 'Paint It Black' by The Rolling Stones - oooooooooh please please please let Laura get this right, this song is epic.

Louise and Kevin will be dancing the Charleston to the Emeli Sande version of ‘Crazy In Love’ - song irritates the crap out of me, I'll be thinking of [url="https://youtu.be/FxnLyB5uuQE"]the Glee version[/URL and trying not to laugh.

Ore and Joanne will be dancing the Charleston to the Bow Wow Wow version of 'I Want Candy’ - choon! and again Ore gets decent music. Although it's going to be an odd Charleston”

Well, I don't know who is choosing the music this year - but last year Jeremy posted a picture of the guy responsible in one of his blog posts http://jeremyvine.tv/jeremy-vine-str...ll-miss-karen/ (if you scroll down it's under 'Saturday 1323'), someone called Matt. Not sure if he's a former dancer or not, maybe others will know!

Personally, I suspect that some people are given deliberately challenging music/themes to get them out of the competition, or just because the producers think it would be fun TV, even if it makes for a cr*ppy dance.
