Daisy is lovely. I like her and her dancing is good. It is just that there are a couple of celebs I like better. She would be about third on my list, but if that were true for many other viewers then unfortunately it doesn't win her votes.

True, it is called Strictly Come Dancing, not Strictly Come Nice, but by that argument we could say why vote for Ed or Rinder as its not called Strictly Come Terrible Dancing or Strictly Come Gurning

She does come over as nice, polite, kind and caring, but she has the problem of not having a built in fan base (models rarely do unless really famous) so can only fall back on dance and personality. Now she wins for me at least on the personality front, but her dancing is still a little bland and even that Charleston, although technically good, didn't move me at all. Unless there is a breakthrough from her she will remain middle of the table until she loses a DO I feel.

There are several reasons I am not connecting with Daisy:

1) I didn't have a clue who she was from the outset
2) She seems nice enough but still manages to come over a bit insincere
3) She appears to be the teacher's pet. Her waltz was, for me, was highly overrated - which turned into a trend before the viewers gave her a dose of reality and landed her in the dance-off.

She needs to temper her blandness with a standout, WOW performance...then I and others, might just start taking notice of her.

The most ironic thing is Aljaz being my fave male pro!!!

One of the reasons I have been voting for Daisy, apart from her very respectable dancing, is because I feared she might be struggling for votes. Although I'd heard of her prior to the launch, I imagine her profile was relatively low compared to the rest of the cast.

I think she's a sweetheart 💚 but I can understand why she may not be making as big an impact with the audience generally as with me.

I'm struggling to understand how a model could have a "fan base" anyway.

I mean.... they just wear clothes. That's it.

How does one rationalise someone becoming a fan of the manner in which someone else wears clothes?

But they do get quite a following though perhaps not as much as the Reality 'stars' who mostly do not seem to wear many clothes.

I've been supporting and voting for Daisy since Week 1. She's fun, genuinely lovely and shows such joy in learning to dance. I love her friendship with Aljaz and think he's bringing out the best in her.

I was impressed with her dance off performance under emotional pressure and think she does have the potential to go much further in the competition.

I'd suspected Daisy's vote was at the lower end despite the warmth she's been received with on the show but am hoping for a strong Paso this week and a bounce back in votes. She would then be due Ballroom next week and fingers crossed Blackpool so I'm hopeful they can build momentum from the dancefloor as the public's votes become more focused on the better and most improved dancers.

The way I see it, catwalk models are there to simply wear the designs as a three dimensional moving display. They seem to be expected to maintain blank expressions and wear whatever atrocities and bizarre looks are required of them... and that's about it really. There's nothing to be discerned about them as people at all - and it requires no specific skill or talent - and as such, there's not really anything to be a fan of either.

Fashion models in magazines don't seem to me to be any different - apart from not really moving.

I have nothing against Daisy personally but cannot fathom what is supposed to make her a "celebrity" or somehow noteworthy - other than her apparently colourful family background - but I can't see how that confers celebrity status either.

I guess if she doesn't have vast numbers of people voting for her, these might be partly the reasons for it.

For what it's worth, the people who appear in the sort of reality shows you mention, are not "stars" either, no matter what they may think!

She is not as well known as the likes of Ed and Greg, so her 'fan base' is a lot smaller.

On a personal note the more I see back of her performance on Saturday it becomes more frightening, that grin and the hair, maybe she get the same for the Halloween show.

But the gorgeous Alias isn't !

Maybe the GBP in their infinite wisdom AND knowledge of ballroom dancing think Daisy has been overmarked by the judges since week 2 and therefore choose not to vote for her.

I like her enthusiasm and I think she's a pretty good dancer but I suspect getting the top marks in week one - when many people thought Danny's cha cha was better - probably didn't help her. I haven't voted for her so far simply because there have been other dancers and dances I thought were better.
I absolutely loved the choreography Alijaz created for their Charleston this week, but I think Daisy's performance, though by no means bad, lacked a bit of energy and attack. That said, had I known she'd be in the bottom two I'd have put a vote her way.

The cast for the past few series has followed the formula of three/four nice, young, pretty woman and that's why Daisy and Laura are suffering. The vote will be split as they're so similar.

My husband loves Daisy, but he doesn't vote.

I like her, but at the moment all my votes go to Ed.

They are a 'safe' couple, people don't think they need their vote because they will get through regardless.

Saying that, I can see why some people weren't keen on that routine, even though I loved it.

I think they are a wonderful pairing, they were just adorable on It Takes Two last night.

I'd never heard of Daisy before, but she seems to be very likeable, but I find her dancing, though 'good' is not very exciting to watch. Her Charleston , for example, was fine, but it lacked any real WOW factor, and she danced it with a lovely smile but no other expression.

A teacher once told me that the worst description of a dance is "nice" as largely it means indifferent. But that's how I see Daisy's dancing - just 'nice'.

Having said that, I much prefer to watch Daisy than Ed (bless!) or Rinder - so irritating.

As well as what everyone else has said she's got no "story". Her scores so far have gone 32-30-31-31-32. There's no shape or texture to her time on the show - no good weeks, no bad weeks, no comebacks, no breakthroughs, no way really of distinguishing one week from another, other than the fact she's doing a different dance, so it all kind of blurs into one melange of quite good dancing. Even Louise (whose scores are also more or less exactly the same every single week) has got thrown the bone of a narrative around needing a breakthrough and to "let go" to work around long term. Daisy's got nothing. She's just there and people don't vote for people who are "just there".

Another point is that far more people watch the Saturday night show than watch ITT. So for those who don't watch every evening, it won't matter how lovely someone is on the sofa, or how well (or otherwise!) they get on with their pro partner, or any of the other little snippets those of us who do watch ITT see to help us build up a picture of the various contestants. They're likely to be voting based on the dance itself and possibly any previous perception of the person* so someone like Daisy without a particularly high profile will fall down there unless her dances are properly 'wow'.

I disliked the initial route they seemed to be taking Daisy down - when she channeled Christopher "Doing it for me nan!" Maloney by having her dedicate a whole dance and training VT to her deceased Grandfather. I found that left a bitter taste in my mouth as I found it a bit... tacky? They quickly dropped that narrative and since then she's offered little more to the table other than being nice. Nice is good, but nice is also forgettable and isn't going to win many votes.

How many people must have outpolled her in order for her to fall in the bottom two? Ed, Greg, Rinder and Anastacia? All of whom have a much bigger personality and are Moreno memorable than she.

You've hit the nail on the head, Kaycee. I really like Daisy and she is much better than I thought she would be. However, I wonder whether its because she comes from a non performing background, she seem unaware of her lack of performance. This is where those on TV do have an advantage. I can recall, years back, that one of the sportsmen on the show had an acting lesson set up for him, and after that it transformed him.
I really like her partnership with Alijaz and hope that the GBP start to vote for her to keep better dancers in.

Daisy is one of the 4 celebs I'm rooting for this year; trouble is, I only have 3 free votes. However, on Saturday I did vote for her because I liked the original and rather cute theme of the dance and thought she did a pretty good job with it.

It was a shame to see her in the dance off. I can see why people are voting for less able dancers like Ed and Greg but I'd like Daisy to make it to the semi finals at least.

In fairness to Helen, she didn't hit the Bottom 2 until the week she left, and she was low on the leaderboard that week, so I don't know that we can conclude she was neglected in the public vote the same way we can with Daisy. Abbey though must have been dead last in the public vote (or 2nd to last ahead of Rachel) the week she was in the dance-off, so it's possible there's a pattern of Aljaz's partners getting "forgotten".

Actually Daisy dies not come across as 'lovely' on ITT in my opinion, if anything it perpetuates the blandness of her personality.
