I wanted to do a poll but I think I'm too new.

I noticed there's a spoiler thread and was just wondering if most people do like to know in advance.

I like to wait for the results show, I like all the tension, the lights, the music, the looks on their faces. My mates (who hate Strictly) like winding me up about it. Like they told me when Laura and Tameka were in the dance off but that backfired cause I didn't believe them. Then Saturday they were like 'you know your Oksana's gone' and I was so gutted I let the 'your Oksana' thing go but then later I asked who else was in the dance off and they said Laura. Er don't think so guys!

They hate Strictly yet know how & where to find the result - mmmmmmmmm

Not entirely sure. I normally check the results on Saturday night, but was busy last Saturday so didn't see until the Results show and really enjoyed the suspense.

I like to check in the early rounds (say, up until Week 8), but beyond that unless there's someone I'm truly fanatical about I don't bother.

Before Week 8/9 the competition (usually) has a few duffers floating around, but by Blackpool everybody's usually at least competent, so the tension ramps up.

That said, Laura, Tameka, and Daisy have proven that this year is not a normal year; none should have been in any DOs yet by their dance ability.

I always look, I'm impatient to know. I don't like the suspense, the drum beats, the long gap between announcements on Sunday evenings.

Love my Saturday nights in watching Strictly, although I do record it to cut out the silly training bits, but, I don't want my Sunday nights taken up with it as well, so yes I prefer to know the results before the 'Sunday' show.

I'd like to know the results before the whole thing starts. Then I can get to the bookies.

I like to know before Sunday as I can't monopolize the television on both Saturday & Sunday night. I enjoy being able to speculate on the time the spoiler is in. The number of views the spoiler gets is an indication of how popular it is. 195479 for week 5.

Have to admit I always tell myself that I don't mind, but I still find myself making the effort to come to the spoiler thread and check on a Sunday morning.

I was away the weeked Naga went out and hadn't been online to check and in a way I enjoyed the suspense more, but this week just gone I was back checking again.

They also know the names of the participants - even the newly-joined pros like Oksana!

Whereas I love those bits! In fact, in many ways I prefer the Results show to the main show: not sure why - I guess it's the guest singer, the "Len's Lens", the beautiful group dances...And yes, the suspense, the drum beats, the long gaps between announcements! I go out of my way to avoid all social media until after the Sunday results and lap up all the suspense and tension. I'd hate to know in advance, in fact I would be most annoyed if I came across them accidentally - or someone told me!

Yes I like to know, for various reasons. We often have family/friends get togethers on a Sunday so wouldn't get to see it. I am not that bothered about the Sunday show anyway, the only thing I really enjoy (usually) is the group dance (occasionally the singer) and I can watch that anytime. I am also not that keen on seeing the celebrities, whether I like them or not, having to go through the dance off.

I can't bear to not know the results on Saturday . I just can't . Then when Sunday comes, I STILL watch the results show but I like to know the result on Saturday.


This is another good opportunity for me to thank Monaogg, Abigaismum, ....and the moles who give us the spoilers and organise that thread every week

It does highlight how important it is to keep the results confined with obvious "red flags" for those who do not want to know who is leaving.

I'd rather not know but with social media, online papers like the daily mail and even the "non spoiler" threads on here, its almost impossible to avoid. I gave up a couple of years ago and now check late on a Saturday night or Sunday morning to see who went out. I still watch the Sunday show though

I like to know the results but am not too upset if I don't because I am usually right about who will leave anyway. It is easy to get the spoilers from twitter and FB I find.

I've been coming on here to find out the result for a number of years now. My family think I am a genius! We usually eat Sunday Dinner when the result show airs so knowing the result in advance enables me to enjoy family time with Strictly on in the background.

Yes, definately like to know the result when it happens, not a day later.

And I enjoy the fun of our spoiler thread.
