Is Emma gonna spend all series moaning about particular housemates whilst letting others off again?

Like grilling Bear about food waste but not even mentioning that Aubrey spat in his food.

So 4th to the 27th January guess so we have now lost a week off the celeb one as well.

10 weeks last night and we are back again

I'm surprised Emma is back, to be honest. I really thought she was going to announce that she was leaving! She seemed fed up with the whole process last series. I'm glad she's staying, though.

As for the days thing, I'm not too fussed as some of the best series were short. It can depend on the set of housemates though, the most recent one would have benefited from being shorter IMO.

I think its better to be slightly shorter, I wonder why though? Could they of actually got some decent celebs this time who won't be able to commit to a 5 weeks series

Yeh just wonder why..
I would rather a longer run in Winter and slightly shorter in Summer.

Happier it's shorter.

Did they learn from summer? They cut short a great series of civilian for that awful summer CBB that followed.

I'd rather:

Jan- 3-4 weeks
June- 10 weeks

September- NOTHING.

Scrap that summer CBB.

Shorter runs should make the show more appealing to some celebrities, but I'm not sure if that will outweigh the damage done to the brand in the summer.

Happy with that duration, how CBB should be

Hopefully the regular series will be untouched next year, as that was a bit unfair on them being cut short for a shall we say, lousy summer CBB which only one person was ever going to win from the start

I agree with this exactly. Summer CBB needs to go. I feel like a hypocrite saying this because I do always watch summer CBB but I am getting sick of the feeling Emma and Rylan give off of 'lets get civilian BB out of the way ASAP so that we can do another CBB'. it was all Emma talked about during last summer's civilian final.

A July final is ridicules. BB is meant to be a summer event so ending it in July is bombaric! Like Salv* has said, it should start in June [1st/2nd week] and end in August [2nd/3rd week]. I love CBB in January. its always so much better and gives us something to look forward to after xmas / new year. 4 weeks is perfect for me

One last point - finals [civilian AND celebrity] should always be a Friday night. Not a bloody Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday.

Can they regurgitate yet another completely unwatchable series?

I'm not sure that I can withstand another Winter/Summer of Emma gushing over fake romances, Rylan fawning all over himself and silly seen-it-all-before repetitive 'twists'. The show is far from fresh, it's stale and growing mould.

My BB viewing was completely wrecked this year by the unforgivable curtailment of civilian and filling the CBB house with reality nobodies, just awful.

Are they still going ahead with this all-stars/gold stars v old stars nonsense? ..

IMO cutting the civilian series short to air a longer CBB was one of the worst things C5 has done. Especially given that civilian was getting a great reception.

Less is more I think the 2nd CBB should be dropped as it's BB overload with 3 series per year. CBB 3 to 4 weeks in January and BB 10-12 weeks starting in June would be better.

I never saw the point of a second CBB, there never has been one, complete waste of time and money, should go back to one cbb and use the money saved to invest in BB (both versions)

January should be both Emma and Rylan's last series, then it comes back in the summer completely revamped.

Presented by Gemma Collins and Joey Essex? Sometimes, it's better the devil you know.

Not sure that's quite true. Everyone, including yourself, said that Christopher Biggins would walk that series. But then when he turned out to be a homophobic Nazi and got ejected, Bear took over as the favourite.

Exactly, the same people who complained about Davina and complained about Brian, are now complaining about Emma - some people will never be pleased lol

I enjoyed the majority of what I saw in BB17. Bar one or two, we had the best group of housemates to grace the house in years. It's a shame the series twist instantly flopped, as on paper it seemed a very good idea. As usual, it was terribly executed, an embarrassment, and producers didn't seem to care. The second house was a complete waste of money and turned out to be nothing but a knocking shop. The moment 'annihilation week' and eviction massacre' were announced, my heart sank as I knew C5 were about to totally destroy a potentially classic series. The end date announcement which followed shortly afterwards made the situition even worse. At that stage, I felt that there was absolutely no point further investing into the series or the housemates as it was completely ruined, regardless.

Although I believe that both annhilation week and eviction massacre were a huge success (I had stopped watching by then) it was obvious that they were cooked up to assist an abrupt end to an evidently successful series. Cutting it short was a huge mistake, and I do not believe for a second that it was always their intention. Then CBB was forced down our throats immediately after. I boycotted the launch for the first time ever and viewed only a handful of episodes, it left an incredibly nasty taste in my mouth. I also avoided the final as it was completely unwatchable. Emma's comments regarding the direction of the show are still ringing loudly in my ears, I can't stand Rylan anymore, and I have zero respect for anyone behind the scenes as they are sick, vindictive and put on one hell of an ugly show during the Summer. I really fell out of love with BB this year, a lot needs to happen before that changes, but sadly, I doubt it ever will now. Emma and Rylan need to go and so does Summer CBB, all surplus to requirements now. Yet another revamp is needed, but Channel 5 etc just cannot be trusted with this programme!

It's not Emma you have to get rid because the problem lies deep in C5 who think it's great to use BB as a promotion for their other crappy reality series. Bear was rammed down the viewers throat to promote ex on the beach.

I was really hoping that Emma would walk following her comments on the Bear show, she doesn't need BB at all. Rylan doesn't either now he has his very own itv version of SOTS. Both have become nautiously irritating!
