I thought Aleksandra got off extremely lightly.

She could have resigned during the week. Failing that she could have spoken up during the task allocation. Either way the teams would have been evened up.

As a last resort she could have managed a few more days and left after the task.

But no she left her team, which was already a candidate light, in the lurch with six playing eight.

I'm sorry but I think that sucked.

And I bet had they asked Mucky in Toyko or his back room or whichever Holiday Inn he's hiding out at he would have agreed.

Goodness, you're right, he didn't get a vote! Naughty Rhoddy, tut!tut!

So if the other one hadn't walked out this week, who would have appeared on You're Fired?
All very convenient isnt it.

Yeah, that's a good point too re the fired bloke-what'shisname-...odder still how he got that Tokyo job, and couldn't fly back to the YF show. Maybe he's undercover.

Oh looked up tbagging as it's new to me, so now I know, and not something I'd do or even want to. Not good with those sort of jokes btw, but if others make them it comes out funny

One other aspect is how Alex wanted to go on the YF show, unless they paid her well for it. But it does look as if the Fired one didn't want to be on it. Funnier still if they didn't have any Candidates for the YF show at all

It's becoming a farce. The candidates seem less business focused than they used to be, the show appears more contrived and edited to show certain people in certain ways and it seems more about the personalities than the process

People really spend 600 odd quid on scarves and 2 and a half grand on bags?!

I'm clearly in the wrong job

Croquet looks more boring than golf
Oh I don't know, it can be fun
My wife and I play croquet, and it's more enjoyable than you might think. Rough old lawn they were playing on, though

Makai and Karthik back...changes it to Rebecca and Karthik.....jeeze...the 3rd change!
I used to be indecisive, but I'm not so sure now

I couldn't believe the prices- £580 for a scarf? Even if you had that money, why would you? It's a scarf!

Most people woudn't and couldn't spend £580 on a scarf. However to some, wearing certain clothing from certain designers or certain stores is important and to others it is a statement of (perceived) wealth.

Also, there are people who are sufficiently wealthy to consider £580 a trifling sum and are content to spend it on a scarf.

I think the right person went this week, he has been poor for the last couple of weeks.

When did sub team managers come into it ? , i don't remember this in the early days , it seems to have been in the last 3 or 4 series, i wonder if whenever it started, that sub team manager was fired , as now it just seems a convenient way for the project manager to blame someone else.

I think the Apprentice has gone down hill since it became about Sugar looking for business partners rather than giving people a job , all Sugar has to do is look at the businesses proposed and take a gamble on which he thinks will make money, i think its got less to do with the candidates imo, i think if you are fairly decent in business, but have a superb idea for a business to go into with Sugar, then you will win, rather than being the most outstanding candidate.

I'm wondering if Karthik has got a fantastic business that Sugar wants, it just doesnt feel like Sugars sacks people for the same reasons as past series anymore.

It's not just a scarf, its a designer silk scarf from Liberty.

They are not regular purchases, more treats. Like buying a new handbag of pair of heels, that amout seems reasonable.

Based on the business plans that have reached the final in previous series, I very much doubt it. Far more likely is that the process does what it says on the tin, which is to identify those candidates who have a decent chance of putting their plans into action.

But you may be onto something with the question of subteam leaders. It does look like at least some PMs are playing a game, whether by setting up scapegoats or, and this seems to be more common now, switching from one subteam to the other.
