How many threads about this do we have now, I've lost count, maybe the forum mods need to put them all together in a special place.

Having just read all the comments, I'm tempted to give Eastenders a go again as I gave up watching about ten years ago because I was so fed up of the sensationalism in the Age of Gangsters and the issue led storylines.

Take away sensationalism and issue-led storylines and you are left with a boring show.

Theres also alot of people on facebook slamming eastenders too.
People on facebook slam everything. They live in perfect worlds, have perfect lives and judge everyone who doesn't. They put pictures up of their evening meal for heaven's sake! If Facebook users hate it, then it must be good!

You said there had been no older characters in the last episode, when there had, the cast has a diverse age group, its not going to not use the younger lot because some viewers don't like it.

Fair enough, some people do like them though.
I didn't say that at all. I said:

EE has become very poor.

Who really cares about -

Lee and Whitney
Becks and Shakil
Lauren and Steven??????

I don't. EE is currently all about the younger characters and it's deathly boring. Lauren Branning is a big yawn and can't seem to pull off her own SLs. Her alcoholism a few years back was most tedious. She's much better as part of a big SL like Lucy's murder. A mix of age group SLs is much better.

EE is currently crap.

I'd recommend it. The transition period would give you the opportunity to get to know some of the characters before the bigger storylines start. I just hope you'd enjoy it as much as some others including myself are on here.

I didn't say that at all. I said:
OK my wires must of got crossed, you mentioned about it all being younger characters, I said their was older characters featured in the last couple of weeks you said in reply to my post.

Not the last ep though and the relationships mentioned are tedious.
And that is when I mentioned that Dot, Patrick and Claudette featured in the last episode

Yes there were older characters in the last episode but they were not in the majority.

Anyway, the younger characters I mentioned; Becks, Shakil, Lauren, Steven, Whitney and Lee SLs all in one ep were boring. They dominated that last episode and none of them or their SLs are interesting enough to do that. I'm not saying I don't like the younger characters though. Ben and Jay were terrific during the Paul murder SL.

Dot is not 90? And Claudette is not in her 50's
claudettes age i dont think had been mentioned but the actress who plays her is 54,

my points valid

but i also concede jealousy is irrational

dot might not ben 90 but shes very old, you cant say her and Claudette would realistically be fighting for the same man, .

Patricks love interests, audrey, yolande, fat pat, cora cross,

I don't think that age is right, she looks older than in 18 in this video

I actually can't take it anymore. Someone get back to me when this apparent ''transition'' period is over.

I was on board with SOC until I heard he was bringing Max Branning back. I ain't got time to suffer through another decade of that ginger twit.

Me neither. And I was hoping he would undo the Gavin recon by making him a fantasist. Claudette's exit was rubbish too and the Ronnie and Roxy rumours sound awful.

Yep it's pretty poor.

The sharon stuff is ridiculous in particular

Both episodes was shite, the way she been written and portrayed is disappointing but not unexpected anymore after last years completely nonsensical personality transplant of characters I can firmly say they've got a long way to go and I'm doubtful they can even fix the damage done to her character.
