Thought this would be a fun thread Any Halloween soap cliches?

I'll get us started The local pub/ someone in the village/on the square/in the street throws a Halloween party at less than 24 hours notice, yet everyone turns up in professional fancy dress with their faces painted etc. Also, It's usually on a week night but it doesn't stop people getting absolutely slaughtered

What Halloween cliches can you think of from the soaps? Not sure if there will be a enough for a thread but we'll see

Halloween shall not be mentioned for the entire month of October, not until the 29th when a party shall be arranged at the last minute and everyone will suddenly produce a fabulous costume

A character will suddenly start to experience strange goings on in their home/business. When they bring it to the attention of another character, the other person laughs it off. The person who is worried about the strange goings on is then burgled/attacked/raped/brutally murdered.

There is an unexplained power cut that lasts for hours.

And not a single Asda costume in sight, not even for the kiddies.

They will organise a Halloween party at the Vic at the last minute and Mick Carter will dress up as Frankensteins monster and Lee Carter will dress up as Dracula

An entire episode of a soap, will feature throwbacks to classic horror movies.
Last year's EastEnders for example, it was horrendous and around the time I thought it was time for DTC to start packing his bags.

The Halloween party, all done very last minute, but the the decor and costumes look absolutely amazing, despite most of the characters never having any money.

And somehow, a gang of kids will appear on the Square in Walford, where do they come from? who do they know on the Square and why are they unsupervised? lol

Pathetic Fallacy will be used in that there will be torrential rain, thunder and lightning on Halloween night itself as dramatic events unfold.

A character will hear strange noises coming from a dark corner of the square/street/village. The character gets close to the source of the sound as tension builds. A black cat appears* and the character is relieved.

There will always be a few characters that decide to stay at home and watch a horror movie while the big Halloween party is taking place across the street.

Even though the entire square/village/street is full of the Halloween spirit, nobody ever goes out trick-or-treating ...

Somebody will throw up all over someone / something after drinking too much Haloween punch.

Someone will drunkenly reveal a huge secret which will result in a confrontation

(These things happen in at least one of the four soaps every year )

A character wearing a dark hoodie will be lurking in the distance, but we don't see their face. They will be watching one of the regular characters, marking the start to a long running stalker plot.

At least three characters will wear the same costume that covers up all recognisable features. Later in the episode, one of the characters will end up in bed with another character with viewers left guessing as to who the character is.

There will be foreshadowing of a gruesome murder that takes place later in the episode. For instance someone steps on a tomato squashing it.

At least 90% of the episode will take place at night.

Someone will be lurking in the bushes, but we don't see who. The wobbly camera work suggests we are looking at the surroundings from the point of view of a mysterious returnee ...

Two characters will be heavily disguised, each wearing the same outfit. A third party will confuse the two and reveal a deep secret to the wrong one.

Characters will mention that it's Halloween at every opportunity. "You can't stay in tonight, it's Halloween" for example, even though a lot of people in the real world forget/can't be bothered, but in soaps it's a 'big thing'.

A mentally crazed character bent on revenge will use an apple bobbing bowl to attempt to drown their mortal enemy.
