The question of downloading is a tricky one and being fought by finer minds than mine - legal ones too. As far as I can understand things, the recording of a broadcast for your own personal viewing is not illegal. Obviously the sharing of that recording with other people is.
Anyway, if you like something enough to want to watch it again, you should buy a copy once it becomes available in the shops. The individual DVD's (3-episodes per disk) are coming out quickly as the series is aired (the first three episodes are available now) but you may want to hang fire, as these are 'vanilla' releases and contain no extras.
A special, Tardis-shaped boxed set will be available in November, containing all of the episodes along with out-takes, interviews etc.
