Glad I'm not the only one either, it struck an emotional chord for a couple of different reasons, the most powerful being the idea that Rose had some notion that her Dad was a wonderful person who took her on countryside picnics etc when he didn't - it was just a theme her mum cooked up to make her feel loved by her dead parent. The line "be careful what you wish for" was the most effective. You can't help but think Rose's life would have been worse if her dad had not died, a harrowing but powerful message about fate.

Excellent, brilliant, sensitive scriptwriting.

So when will BP get nominated for 'best emoting'. An excellent episode and once again BP steals the show.

Yes, of course we all knew what the ending was going to be. We had to. The inevitability of the ending is what made the emotional build up work.

Two negatives though. Could have done without the 'DON'T TOUCH THE BABY' being flagged up so obviously. Would have worked better if it had simply been said and accepted without any emphasis.

Could also have done without having the "Mr.Watson come here.." being explained. If you didn't already realise its significance the explanation would have added very little.

Still, one of the best.

Well...at least we now know why you can't go messing around with the timeline.

The problem with the Back To The Future stuff is the number of questions it always raises about paradoxes etc. but I thought they handled it all quite well.

Could have done with less of the sloppy sentimentality, though (or maybe that's just me being an emotionless old grouch

If we get a poll, I'll give it a "good", I guess.

Brilliant episode - certianly in my top 3, but then again I love episodes with a bit of emotion in them as well as just action.

I think it delt very well with the question that viewers would have of "Why can't they just go back in time and fix things" and why the Doctor couldn't have gone back and saved his own people.

I thought it a bit odd at the end that nobody, including Rose's mum didn't rush out to her dad to try to help.
I was also puzzled as to why the driver of the car didn't drive off this time.

Other than that, fantastic!

Fantasic episode !!!

The ending was kinda obvious once you realised the hit and run driver was still driving around the block

But damn, I tried my best to find the Bad Wolf reference the whole way through and missed it. The only poster I saw was the one saying 'no third term for thatcher'

Billie Piper is proving to be more and more of a surprise as the weeks pass by. I never considered she could be this good an actress. Well done BP.

Absolute rubbish. What a waste of 45 mins. Next Ep looks good, I think we have caught a glimpse of The Master.

Who, John Barrowman or Richard Wilson? Did you sit through the whole 45 minutes?

To the left of the Thatcher posters there were two others with a smiley face advertising a rave. One of these had "Bad Wolf" graffittied across it.
