If at least one person has requested a poll then the mods will get round to it as soon as they can I'm sure.

I thought tonights episode was my favourite one so far, though the dalek one comes a close second.

I cried a bit as well as the end, I'm glad it wasn't just me

Fair enough if you didn't like it, personally I can't understand your point of view, I though it was wonderful, well written, well acted and full of real emotion and loved the fleshing out of Rose's back story, but as the saying goes, you can't please everyone. I'd be interested to know why you thought it was so bad though.

One thing I didn't understand is why did everything else carry on after Rose saved her father from the car crash but the poor driver is still driving round and round???

Thank you... as they say on radio, long time listener, first time caller

I am hooked on this Wolf thing and am dying to see this last two episodes.

As an aside, I used to watch the Doc as a child and enjoyed it on a very superficial level. You know, the level at which you love to see silly aliens lumbering about chasing people.

Because of that, I was kinda wondering if this _new_ Doc was going to entertain me as much as the _old_ Docs - turns out it has surpassed my expectations on every level.

I can't understand some of the people that label things 'rubbish' on this forum without attempting to back up their opinion. If you think it was rubbish, then why? It might make your posts more credible and give people something to discuss.

Most people who have said they like the episode have backed it up with their thoughts, I thought the episode was really good because of the emotional scenes and actually putting Rose into the forefront, seeing her cope with out the doctor. It developed the relationship between them and the viewers now understand why its difficult to go back in time and change something.

Was it me or was the car going round the block a different way from when it originally was supposed to hit Pete?

It was the 'event' that was repeating itself over and over again, it didn't have the outcome it should have done and therefore got caught in a loop.

That's my take on it anyway.

I was blown away by this episode. A real human, emotional episode.
Billie Piper was really good

I did not cry

I'm sure that I will come in for some criticism for this, but oh well

In my opinion Rose got exactly what she deserved, she acted selfishly and thought only of herself and what she wanted and she knew this by her reaction to The Doctor.

She caused the death of countless people, not to mention THE DOCTOR and could have destroyed all life on the earth itself ! Simply because she did not listen and acted selfishly.

The Doctor had every right to speak to her in the way that he did and it would have served Rose right if The Doctor left her behind !

I hope that Rose had learnt her lesson !

The end was obvious and rather unimaginative, however, it did fit in perfectly with the story that was told.

The show again like last week started with many interesting possibilities and aspects but ultimately ended up being rather fast paced towards the end and was over before one had the chance to even think about it.

However, I do think that is in part to do with the fact that the shows are now "one off" 45 minute episodes rather than a story which was told over a period of several episodes.

Overall, I thought that it was a very good, very interesting story. It was good to see Rose's dad as I do think that was an essential part of the Rose story, however, I thought that the show was overly sentimental and emotional.

Perhaps I'm getting hard faced in my old age, lol

Yes I did, and John Barrowman. Before you say naything else I sat through the whole episode so as to watch it all. I stick with a series through the good and the bad. In my honest opinion that was one of the series' weaker episodes. As a whole Doctor Who has been excellent entertainment so far.

Sorry, I can accept you found it too emotional - fair enough, but farfectched? This is Dr Who we're talking about, so Daleks, time travel, big fat aliens taking over London etc etc is completely true to life and believable

This is what Beth put on her post:
Just a note to say I'm getting old, my memory isn't what it was so if there's no poll here by about 8pm please can you hit the 'alert' button on this post please? If several people do it them my attention will very quickly be drawn to it.

Bx.

The button's just down there ... (press it on Beth's post on p.1 not mine!!)

So I just did what she asked and request a few people to alert the mods as it's still not up yet

Well compared to that half wit Kate Lawler on the other side it was no competition!!! I really enjoy the better emotional involvement we have in the series now, I think Sci Fi works so much better when you care about the characters and their outcomes.

Oh, as an aside, the actress who plays Rose's mum was really good tonight, as well, which was a pleasant surprise!

Why would you need to download it? Don't you have a vcr or dvd recorder?

Isn't the nature of scifi to be "far fetched"? Writers can use there imagination and create whole new universes without the barriers imposed by reality.

I think it was the 2nd best episode ever - favourite is still The Unquiet Dead.
