Wiki seems to contradict itself because it says Peter returned to the street in December 2000 however on Toyah's page it says he was a suspect. When did Peter actually come into the street as the current guy?

Chris Gascoyne took over the role of Peter during the 40th anniversary live episode (December 9 2000) and Toyah was raped in April 2001.

Think he first appeared in late 2000!

Definitely, heaven forbid a Corrie character could live independently and away from the street. It would be refreshing and I like the idea of Toyah coming back a successful woman with a good job and decent place to live, I fear it won't pan out like that though.

As the moment of Toyah's return gets closer, what do you think her actual return scenes will be like?

A black cab pulls up on a deserted Coronation Street, the driver gets out to get something out of the boot. Toyah appears and looks around Coronation Street, makes a comment along the lines of 'some things never change'.

The camera pans up to the letterbox at the corner of Coronation Street, Toyah appears around the corner, picking up a bouquet of flowers from outside Dev's to give to Leanne (based on Toyah's first scene on Coronation Street itself).

Any other ideas?

I first saw this being speculated here months ago, and everything so far lines up for it. He has a secret woman, she has a secret affair, the timing is coming together, it would be the perfect 'explosive' reveal given his past with Leanne and give everyone months of storyline. I am believing it more and more.
