Who are your favorite partnerships this year?

Mine are

1- Oti and Danny

2-Ed and Katya

3-Greg and Natalie

4-The judge and Oksana

I just enjoy their partnership so much more and I feel like they all have great chemistry.

I like Brendan, I really do but I would have paired up Anastacia with someone else. There's something missing with these 2.Gorka would've been the perfect partner for her imo.

I also would've paired up Laura with someone else. Gio is great and I like him but I'm not sure he was the right pro for her.

Swapping Laura to Brendan might have worked better.

Agree re- all the rest.
It did worry me that Oksana thought Moths were the male versions of butterflies.

Jo and Ore (great chemistry that comes alive when Jo makes choreo perfectly as she did in the sumptuous Singing in the Rain splashy dance). Of all the couples this year (so far) they have the capacity to make something that comes alive in the moment. It's a beginner's thing probably, or it seems like that. Judge, Tameka and Ed have had their moments too with that ALIVE feeling. But the difference with Ore and Jo is in their potential to improve/get further in the comp. I'm genuinely enthused by them.

Greg and Natalie... she works beyootifully with sports people.

Anastacia and Gorka. I also liked Tameka and Gorka.

Ed and Katya. She's sticking with it. He's trying.

(Increasingly bothered by the dynamic between Rinder and Oksana. The way he talks at her, for her, over her... Tho I started off charmed by them. This may be the influence of my seeing a ten min video of his show on youtube )

Danny & Oti are far and away my favourite couple this year.

Unlike many here, I predicted that Danny would be right up there in the mix because of his background. Then when he was paired with one of my two favourite female pros (the other being Nat) I just said that this will be a match made in heaven.

Having now seen the two working together, it is just magical. They may not win but I will still be grateful for having watched some of the best dancing I've seen on Strictly.

I was also very excited by Ore's inclusion (was convinced he was gonig to do it last year so made up when he finally did pop up this year) but was a little disappointed with his pairing with Jo. She's is a great dancer and choreographer but her personality does grate a little. If he couldn't have gotten Oti, I would have liked him with Nat.

Aljaz is my favourite male pro and I would have liked to have seen him with anyone but Daisy. I just cannot take to her. Louise would have been my preferred choice for him.

I also liked Tameka & Gorka but, as said above, a partnership with Anastacia probably would have worked even better.

Agree totally. I wanted Louise or Anastacia with Gio - I like Louise with Kevin but I don't think Anastacia and Brendan match. She was much better with Gorka last week.

Or not switching her in the first place!

Unlike last year I'm just not as invested in this series, and have no real favourites now that Will Young has gone. Hope Danny and Oti win however, as they are the best dancer and choreographer partnership by a country mile.

Hit

Lesley & Anton - charming, should have lasted longer
Anastacia & Brendan/Gorka - Out Of Control trainwreck controversy magnets, my favourite Brendan flavour
Daisy & Aljaz - I think she's got an innate likability about her and I hope she starts really delivering on the dancefloor soon
Ore & Joanne - incredibly erratic, overly emotional, slightly phony, partnered with a Clifton, bit of a ham...he's giving me Susanna Reid vibes something fierce and I loved Susanna
Danny & Oti - great dancing week after week, and whilst I find him incredibly dull he is, physically, a great meat puppet for the agendas of Oti, Carley Stenson, and all of the people who hate the Cliftons.

Miss

Tameka & Gorka - just pure annoying
Naga & Pasha - didn't work
Ed & Katya - worked for about 2.5 weeks and then I got bored
Laura & Giovanni - not for me, ta

Maybe

Melvin & Janette - fab chemistry and personality but he really was a terrible dancer
Will & Karen - don't think there was a lot to go on, didn't really see a lot of genuineness in the couple just because of how they were constantly presented as acting up (this happens a lot with Karen couples for me)
Rinder & Oksana - I vary. I think he tries much harder than he's getting credit for but sometimes I find their relationship weird in an off-putting way and sometimes I find it weird in an endearing sort of way (wouldn't you agree Oksana?)
Greg & Natalie - I really love their chemistry and how they work together but I think the gap between reality and where all of Natalie's fans want her to be is starting to strain a bit. If he actually manages an authentic Ballroom Breakout when he finally gets a "proper" one I'll boost him up to a Hit.
Claudia & AJ - I think she's very likeable but I think she's actually being overmarked fairly consistantly and I don't see a huge amount of potential to do much better. Also they get crap theme after crap theme and AJ's choreo has been very miss & miss so far.
Louise & Kevin - feh

Awww, I won't, promise! (He's lovely isn't he? Great dancer with a lithe body, nice face and adorable voice. Everyone should get a Gorka in their Christmas cracker - if they want one.)

Interesting. Recently, I see that a lot of people seem to be saying that regarding the judge and Oksana dynamic. ...I know some people suggested a language barrier but then again I don't know. I like them but they are times when I wonder if they're even on the same page

The rest I can take or leave as pairings, though I did have a soft spot for Lesley & Anton if I'm honest!!

A lot of past male winners have been considered " dull " for the most part so IF Danny wins he will be in good company

Love this in depth view!

My favourite partnership was Will & Karen, I really liked them together, sad they are not still competing.

Anastacia and Brendan/Gorka. Gorka seemed a 'warmer' partner but I think her and Brendan get each other.

Loved Lesley but am not keen on Anton.

Not madly keen on Aljaz but really like Daisy and would love her to do well.

He can be a little condescending with her but Rob Rinders adoration of Oskana is very touching.

Yes I agree with most of this, totally agree about Danny although it does not seem to make much difference with most of the male winners. His dancing is excellent though.
