Technika TV

Hello, looking in Tesco today they had a 32 inch full HD & HD tuner Technika TV for £149. Does anyone have any feedback about this TV or make?

It is a Vestel (or similar type manufacturer) clone, Technika doesn't exist as a manufacturer it's just a brand name used by Tesco. Probably find the identical set with a multitude of different badges glued to the front panel. Very much at the bottom end of the market.

Somewhat higher up the food chain are Samsung and LG with Sony and Panasonic probably top of the tree.

I just had a Sony 32 Inch sent back. It wouldn't turn on from the remote once switched off on standby. Had to keep switching it on & off from the wall. Cost £260 & it was only HD ready. Cheapest Sony 32 Inch full HD I can find is £320.

Case of "pay your money take your chances" While generally speaking a Sony will out perform, be more reliable and last longer than a Technika half it's price it's not an absolute rule. So this 150 quid Technika could be a good investment or equally you could be smashing to pieces with a hammer in a weeks time because it's so awful!

If £320 for the Sony is out of reach then what about £208 for this samsung?

Though depending on how close you sit to the TV a good HD Ready set may be just as good as a middling Full HD set. You may not notice the different resolutions.

Decent 32 inch TV's for reasonable prices seem to be becoming rare despite the advancement in tech. A few years back full HD from the top brands were cheaper.
