Not strictly a 'mobile phone' post, although wireless home phones are mobile, so I wonder if anybody can tell me the current thinking on this, please ....
I read a while ago that it's a good idea to leave wireless phones off their chargers for a few hours every day, thus prolonging battery life.
In pursuance of this advice I have for a few years now left the upstairs phone off its base overnight and, of course, the downstairs phone is with us in the sitting room during the evening anyway, so it's not on its charger for a few hours that way.
I've just recently bought a new phone set because the old ones packed up pretty much overnight so, in the absence of any advice in the user guide, I'm continuing to leave the handsets off their bases for a few hours in every twenty four.
Am I wasting my time bothering to do this anymore? Can current battery technology cope with being on full charge all the time?
