I think she is wasted and miscast in this. You don't believe for a second that someone as gorgeous as her has a serious drug habit.

Absurd basic set-up: former 'First Daughter' blackmailed into working in somewhat implausible cop-type unit. But it has an attractive/likeable cast and could settle down as a decent cop/legal show, if it gets the chance.

Looking forward to this, missed it on Thursday so might watch it later this evening. I'll be disappointed if it is cancelled - this is one of the reasons that Agent Carter was cancelled! |

Just watched it. Thought it was good. Hayley is so watchable. Really hope it's not cancelled but if it is then maybe Agent carter will be brought back so could be win win for those of us that love watch Hayley.

Several famous 'gorgeous' women have. I don't see it as the least bit incredible.

They couldn't resurrect interest in Agent Carter with Hayley telling them she'd work 24 hour days for free to get it done (well, as good as) so I don't think anyone should be hanging out any hope of its return. You might direct your efforts more fruitfully in the campaign to see her as the first female Doctor Who!

I most certainly wouldn't want to see her has doctor who. I've no doubt Hayley will find another role should conviction get cancelled.
But please not Dr Who. There are at least 10 other women could do the job better, |

Well you're not getting away with that without naming them. Cards on the table, please!
Helen Mirren, just because. Helena Bonham Carter, maybe too whacky, but again better than Atwell Emma Thompson, is too good an actress to ignore for ANY role Catherine Tate, Doctor Donna anyone? Gemma Chan, has form and is frightening good and not a little bit creepy in Humans. That's six and Im not even trying, I've ignored those who haven't worked in the UK before. |

Gillian Anderson, seems to be everyone's favourite, I'm so so but a heck of a lot better than Hayley Attwell

Rather short of 10 and anyway how is that even 6? One that nobody would accept (the rewriting of Who history necessary for Catherine Tate boggles the imagination and would wreck the show's credibility) and four that almost certainly wouldn't do it because the manic schedule of 13 episodes a year would either kill them (Thompson and Mirren would be older than anyone who has ever taken the part before) or prevent them doing other more suitable projects. To my mind that leaves just Chan who has yet to have demonstrated any of the quirkiness and eccentricity necessary.
As I said I have not even mentioned non British based actors, like Hayley Atwell is. Look, her role on the Avengers, Agent Carter was passable, the fact that there are numerous other actresses that could have done that role just as well can be set aside for now. Her character in Conviction is barely believable and the one thing to be said of her accent is you can tell it's not her native one. Dr Who is never going to happen, and she would be less than perfect. |

Love the way you can dismiss the majority of my choices.
It is blatantly obvious that you don't like her as an actress. Which is fine. But does colour your opinions somewhat

Looks like you'll have to enjoy the 13 episodes only ordered.

Thank god some semblance of sanity on this Hayley Attwell love fest. She's been lucky up to Conviction, she hopefully will take the failure of this show.

That being the case, I might just wait and catch them on a re-run as there's a lot on TV right now

If ABC are thinking of dropping S.H.I.EL.D. then there's a snow balls chance in hell of Agent Carter coming back. Heck that's as likely as the Americans voting in Trump as president....... Hang on a mo..... Good grief. OK it's more likely the yanks would vote in Trump as president than AC returning. |
