I would like to see less focus on the teens. No episodes where they are the complete focus such as the recent Halloween eppy. School scenes to be kept to a minimum given that I doubt anyone watching the show nowadays is of school age.

More storylines for Aaron and Amy. They are both really endearing but often feel like third wheels. I would like to see Aaron have a proper relationship and maybe explore gay parenting.

More storylines outside the back lot. It's really good that they go to a bar in the city, more of this please.

There is a lot of criticsicm about all soaps on this forum but I have to say Neighbours remains my favourite. It's been a bit hit and miss this year but for the most part I think it's been in another golden era for 2-3 yrs now so I hope it continues.

This. Neighbours is one of my favourites now too, it's got just about all the ingredients that make a good soap.

Agree about less focus on teens - I also doubt if many teens watch Neighbours nowadays. They used to but I teach in a secondary school and while you hear the kids mention EE and HO I have never heard them mention Neighbours. So casting Fungus to appeal to teens won't work and it just brasses off the adults. Time Neighbours stopped this casting of people who just want to further their careers.

Amy needs a decent bloke (and a decent Dad!)

Aaron and Tyler both need an age-appropriate story. Aaron in particular has been wasted - I think he was brought in as a mate for Nate who then left so Aaron now has little purpose. Gay parenting has been covered by Chris/Lucy but if they go down that route I hope there is a stable relationship there.

I sincerely hope Jack/Paige and Piper/Tyler is knocked on the head, along with Paul/Therese and their stupid feud. I hope Paul never gets Lassiters back!

NO more disasters!

No more revenge!

Make that a minibus for them, Jack, Paige, Brad and the Tanaka twins!

No more Madison - she's more wooden than my sideboard,

Recast Mason and Bailey with actors who can actually act and pad out Lauren's family a bit. Although yet another single man in his 20s to hang around with kids or play out with his remote control car wouldn't work. The Brennan boys need something age appropriate to do.

Zoe coming back to get to know Sonya would work. She was very good last time.

Paige and Jack - he needs to just stop it. Stay away from Paige and move parish in search of his top lip.

Terese needs to be a better mother and less of a snob about nobbing the cleaner.

Naomi. How I wish she'd come back. Her and Gary could squabble and annoy each other.”

LOL @ BIBs! Jack really does remind me of the kitty emoji

I really really miss Naomi too. And Bossy. And yes, Mason and Bailey should be recast with people who can act and actually want to stay for a decent length of time.

Pity they didn't realise this about the Jack/Paige thing. If they'd left it when he chose the Church it would have been a good story, and quite convincing, but no, they had to mess it up! As Olympia has now extended her contract this bodes ill for those of us hoping for an end to all this.

Weren't we also told that 'John Doe' would turn out to be connected to someone in RS? Pity he didn't turn out t o be Drab the Sperminator's - even Paige would have a problem getting her way over that!”

@ BIB!

Yes, they seem to have forgotten their little hint that Jack would have a connection to someone on the Street - unless they meant that Jack would form a Superglue connection to Paige, but I thought they meant he would be found to have an existing connection.

Last winter's cliffhanger (Sonya being stalked and an intruder being in Nell's room) and the New Year trailer looked very promising, but I can't imagine anything being of particular interest this time round, unless it's going to be the return of Dee.

Lucy is not gay only Chris - so it has not been covered by two people of the same sex.

The return of Naomi would be great. She is easily the best character to be featured in the last five years and I was gutted when she left because the actress had a baby. They should build a nursery facility so she can come back!

Naomi was a fab character and was in the show for such a short time really.

I don't see any of the regular cast leaving at the moment although Tanaka Brothers may be axed in 2017 - they don't seem that popular with viewers.

Right im just going to post a load of random storylines i think may be good to do in my opinion.

Bring back Naomi (as mentioned above), maybe bring in another of Sheila's children as well.

Go down the route of Ben becoming a mechanic and following in Drew's footsteps.

Give Amy a decent man and let her be happy for a bit. Have Aaron becoming a personal trainer and thus giving him more interaction with everyone as well as being a more realistic occupation for him.

Mark Brennan losing his job for malpractice and then not being able to return to being a mechanic due to Tyler and Ben running things. Therefore looking into other possible career paths he could take

Terese and Gary becoming a sturdy couple and having Gary move into number 22, leading to a conflict of interests for Xanthe about where to live.

Revisit Susan and her euthanasia of her mother.

Bring back Robert Robinson to try and mend his feelings to Paul while not actually doing so.

Have Sonya lose her position as Mayor and returning to actually running a nursery.

This last one is whishful thinking, but have a disaster storyline that involves the demise of Angus, Elly, Jack and the Tanakas. (A recast for Brad Willis wouldnt be bad either!)

He was appalling and needed to be axed. There's nothing to stop a new Mason appearing maybe with a girlfriend. Even a pregnant one to make Lauren a grandma and give her something to do that's isn't serving coffee, sticking up for Paige and marrying the blandest man ever to appear on Ramsay Street .

Is anyone else having a problem with a pop up for a free app whenever they open this page or is it just me?

Paul lives at the motel. Jack lives at the rectory or whatever Catholics call the priest's house. Parochial house?

Do Australian and teenagers from other countries that show it talk about at school remember that neighbours is very much an international product these days

I'd get rid of the three Brennan brothers (along with them other two brothers, the long haired twins) freeing up number 24. I'd bring back Lyn Scully permanently with her now teen son Oscar. Lyn could buy and move into number 24 with Oscar, Steph and Charlie. With her sister being on the show maybe Holly Valance could be tempted to make a guest return as Flick. Lucas could return having split up with Vanessa and reunite with Steph moving in with the Scully's. When Dan is killed off-screen Lucas and Steph are awarded custody of Adam.

Paul and Terese could finally get together and decide to marry after Terese falls pregnant. They could portray the struggles of being older parents with Paul and Terese and the baby would bind the Robinson and Willis families together.

I'd have Elly give in and sleep with Angus only to then be fired and disowned by Susan forcing her to leave in disgrace. Angus is then sent back to live with Sarah - getting rid of the pair of them.

I'd introduce a new branch of the Canning family - another of Sheila's sons along with his wife and children who are forced to move in with Sheila, Gary and Xanthe after being made homeless.

Paul & Terese appear together on the opening credits- this must signify something?

I just want an end to some of the story lines that have been dragged out most of this year (looking at you, Paige and boring Jack).

It would be one thing if they were interesting, but they are just tedious now.

Presbytery - although I believe the one on Craggy Island is know as the parochial house.

I assumed Paul was at the motel but wasn't sure about Jack as last I recall he was living at the Cannings when he had amnesia or has my mind just made that bit up?

That would be perfect - and even better if they took Paul with them!
