Michelle would have 3 Michelin Stars if they were awarded for excellence in eye-rolling.
I don't feel she came across as anything other than sorry for herself in last week's eps, snapping everyone's heads off in the process.
Sorry OP.

Sensitive, ha!

She only care about herself, can't see where she actually gave a shit about anyone else, just folded arms, bulged her eyes and shout at her high pitched voice, Corrie's leading lady she never be.

What did KM do acting-wise that was any different to any other week except shout, bawl, fold-arms, swivel-eyes as usual? What exactly did she do to be singled out for special praise?

Lots of actors in Corrie and other soaps have difficult topics to act and they perform better. Compare her performance with that of David Platt during Kylie's murder and that of Ben, Pam and Les in EE when Paul was murdered. Kym Marsh is ok by Corrie standards but not exceptional.

You were brave starting this thread!

I agree with you though. Michelle seems to have softened since Steve came back from spain. But her performance so far with the baby story has been very good.

Nice to see positivity on the forum

The OP clearly meant they are hard scenes given what Kym went through in real life and I agree. Good on her.

Bravo OP!!

Kym/ Michelle comes in for a lot of criticism on here but last night I think she turned in a good & convincing performance!!
Loved her scenes with Robert, Steve & Leanne!!

I can't disagree with you after seeing David doing his impression of the man in the iron mask in the dungeon. I don't know how long he's going to be down there but I bet a dollar to a donut if it's a week or a year he'll be clean shaven when he comes out. He may have to shield his eyes from that merciless sun that beats down on that street and gives them such fine tans. I don't think I can take much more lumber.

Should we also be saying well done to Debbie Rush for those fire scenes?

Michelle did her best Bianca Jackson impression this week. Issue, needs resolving..........what'll I do? Speak to someone. Gets given advice..........not what I want to hear, "mind your own business". Realises what a pain she's been and softens her act by putting on tears.

I'm no fan of Kym Marsh at all, but some of her lines last night must have been very close to home. Fair play to her.

I can't imagine what soap life was like before our Queen Michelle of Hearts came into our lives....it is too grim to even contemplate!

I've always thought Kym Marsh a capable actress who makes her character generally believable.

The real problem with Michelle is the writing and styling; always the victim or always in the right and never without a single hair out of place. She's like some kind of humanoid. If she had a bit more dirt under her fingernails then maybe the character would be more widely liked.

She's nothing special as an actress but she's good enough for Corrie standards.

The rest of your post sums up my opinion of her - always looks perfect and is lauded by everyone as marvellous. Yes, she needs something to give her more empathy and make her more likeable. Stopping all the continual praise and treating her like everyone else would be a good start. Also less of the OTT shout and rant scenes that Corrie seem to love would also be a help.
