I'm using iPhone 6s and after updating iOS 10, the alarms sometimes do not sound at all. It just shows the alarm screen. I've checked sounds, do not disturb, the silent switch, but everything is ok.

I suspect that iOS 10 contains bugs that cause this issue, not the hardware problems. Anyone else having the same issue with this iOS 10 update?

Me and the wife 6S alarms have been fine on iOS 10 and recently iOS 10.1. Have you updates to 10.1? If not do that and see if the issue goes away?

If you have that version already then try a hard reset, hold down both power button and home button together until you see the white Apple logo then release, it will boot up as normal and your done. Not saying it will work but worth a go. Last resort would be backing up the phone in iTunes or iCloud then restoring it. That should be last on your list though as it takes the longest!

I had it a couple of times with iOS 10 on both an iPhone 6 an iPhone 7 where's all sounds stopped working, including alarms, a reboot fixed it.

Hasn't happened on iOS 10.1 yet.

Haha, Thanks, everybody. iOS 10 was my problem. And updating to iOS 10.1 did work.
iOS 10.1 fixes:
Other improvements and fixes
Improves Bluetooth connectivity with 3rd party accessories
Improves AirPlay Mirroring performance when waking a device from sleep
Fixes an issue where playback would not work for iTunes purchased content when the “Show iTunes Purchases” setting is turned off
Fixes an issue where certain selfie apps and face filters used with the FaceTime HD Camera on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus did not display a live preview
Fixes an issue in Health where individual strokes are converted to separate characters when using the Chinese handwriting keyboard
Improves performance of sharing websites from Safari to Messages
Fixes an issue in Safari that caused web previews in tab view to not display correctly
Fixes an issue that caused certain Mail messages to be reformatted with very small text
Fixes an issue that caused some HTML email to be formatted incorrectly
Fixes an issue that in some cases caused the search field to disappear in Mail
Fixes an issue that could prevent Today View Widgets from updating when launched
Fixes an issue where Weather widget sometimes failed to load data
Fixes an issue on iPhone 7 where Home Button click settings would not appear in search results
Fixes an issue that prevented spam alert extensions from blocking calls
Resolves an issue that could prevent alarm sounds from going off
Fixes an issue where audio playback via Bluetooth would cause the Taptic engine to stop providing feedback for some users
Resolves an issue preventing some users from restoring from iCloud Backup

Otherwise, for other users, if upgrading does not work, then you should check the list in this article https://iphonebyte.com/fix-iphone-al...k-not-working/ I saw that all the possible causes listed here, but none of them work for me

For me the issue is still around on 10.1

So when an alarm is triggered the phone will vibrate but no sound, the same for incoming calls.

In app sounds and keypress sounds are always fine.

A reboot will fix the problem for four or five days and then it reoccurs until your phone is rebooted again,

I know of an iPhone 6, 6s and SE all suffering this cycle!

You updated via OTA or iTunes?. If OTA, you should try again using iTunes.
