Selasi & Janette!

Congratulations, some people wanted you out but for now they have been unsuccessful in their mission and you are safe! With five votes to eliminate, the next couples safely through to week ten are...

Spoiler
Jessica Rabbit & Aljaz!, Mary Poppins & Gorka!

You shall be dancing again in the next round of the competition, which promises to be a corker as it shall be hosted by captain_cherub!

Narrowly avoiding the bottom two this week with six votes to eliminate is...

Spoiler
Davood Ghadami & Oti!

Congratulations! We'll be seeing you again in the next round!

Sadly this does mean that Linda & Giovanni and Harry & Katya have found themselves in the bottom two this week and sadly one of them will be going home. One of you had seven votes, the other had ten votes to eliminate...

I can now reveal the couple leaving Anything Goes in eight place is...

HARRY REDKNAPP AND KATYA JONES.

Impressively Harry you managed to come eighth out of sixteenth, which is a lot better than I ever envisioned you doing when I included you in the cast so that's a small victory! You can go back to your day job now you don't have this dancing malarkey taking up all your time, your day job obviously being driving your car and running over people.

It's time to reveal who selected you for this series...

15. Prince George & Joanne Clifton (13.0) (Damahepa)
16. Kim Kardashian & Brendan Cole (20.0) (NicPlays)

Of course Izzie suggested Harry, who else would it have been!? She's had a shrine to him in her bedroom for the past few years. Sadly she's lost both of her suggestions for the series in a row, so commiserations to her. I would say that suggesting one dead man and one pensioner was never going to end well, but last series a train made the final so who knows what can happen?

The tenth round of the competition is captain_cherub's, so over to him!

I'm now into the territory of losing people I like 😭 I even like Selasi even though I've voted for him the past three weeks!

It's not like they're the only two I suggested.

I was going to include Maleficent but I thought there might be fanwarz over whether her horns would get in the way like they did in Anita Rani's Waltz. So I thought I'd make you out to be a woman who has a fetish for OAPs instead.

Too Hot For TV? Will Davood be taking his top off then?

WEEK 9

The theme is Too Hot For TV. Yes, these songs that have all either been banned by the BBC (for reasons of sex/drugs/foul language/monarchy-baiting/Margaret Thatcher) or are otherwise unplayable by the Strictly band (for similar reasons).

(If he had gotten through, Harry Redknapp would have danced the Cha-Cha-Cha to S&M by Rihanna so I hope you’re happy you denied us all of that - admittedly I did vote for Harry, but STILL let’s not let logic get in the way of my righteous anger)

Davood Ghadami & Oti Mabuse
Foxtrot - **** You - Lily Allen

Jack Laugher & Aliona Vilani
Charleston - Ding-Dong! The Witch is Dead - The Wizard of Oz

Jessica Rabbit & Aljaž Skorjanec
Jive - If U Seek Amy - Britney Spears

Kylie Minogue & Kevin Clifton
American Smooth - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds - The Beatles

Mary Poppins & Gorka Marquez

WEEK 10 LEADERBOARD

1st - Kylie Minogue & Kevin Clifton - 10 + 10 + 10 + 9 = 39
2nd - Jack Laugher & Aliona Vilani - 8 + 10 + 10 + 9 = 37
3rd= Davood Ghadami & Oti Mabuse - 8 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 35
3rd= Mary Poppins & Gorka Marquez - 9 + 10 + 8 + 8 = 35
3rd= Selasi Gbormittah & Janette Manrara - 10 + 10 + 7 + 8 = 35
6th - Jessica Rabbit & Aljaž Skorjanec - 10 + 8 + 9 + 7 = 34
7th - Linda La Hughes & Giovanni Pernice - 10 + 4 + 6 + 3 = 23

And so everybody but Davood gets a 10! (Maybe he should've whipped his shirt off and done Linda's routine instead)

Right, I’m setting the deadline for votes for 8PM tomorrow night, if that’s alright? (I won’t finish work till late). You all know the drill, give us your three least favourite couples and LET THEM FIGHT TO THE DEATH (/go out in week 10)
