I did go 'awww' out loud at the theme, because I'm a sap like that.

Ok then, so, the lines are closed, your 3 finalists have been chosen.

The first couple through with a mere 5 votes is:

Spoiler

There was a tie for second place, with two couples scraping through with 7 votes. They are:

Spoiler

Which of course means that, leaving at the semi final stage with 9 votes, it's:
Spoiler

So over to Queenie to reveal the eliminated mentor, and to give us the details on a very exciting final!

1.
2.
3.
4. Davood Ghadami & Oti Mabuse (32.0) (Le Dansuer)
5. Selasi Gbormittah & Janette Manrara (30.9) (StigOfTheKrump)
6. Mary Poppins & Gorka Marquez (31.6) (doctorwhofancal)
7. Linda La Hughes & Giovanni Pernice (25.2) (ADMR)
8. Harry Redknapp & Katya Jones (20.1) (IzzieStar)
9. Henry VIII & Kristina Rihanoff (15.75) (IzzieStar)
10. Daisy Buchanan & Pasha Kovalev (29.1) (Le Dansuer)
11. Floella Benjamin & AJ Pritchard (24.2) (StigOfTheKrump)
12. Len Goodman & Natalie Lowe (24.2) (StrictlyEastend/Damahepa)
13. Vladimir Putin & Karen Clifton (19.75) (winter99/StrictlyEastend)
14. Anne Darwin & Anton Du Beke (15.3) (Le Dansuer)
15. Prince George & Joanne Clifton (13.0) (Damahepa)
16. Kim Kardashian & Brendan Cole (20.0) (NicPlays)

Commiserations to Le Dansuer who loses their third and final Anything Goes suggestion as Davood & Oti bow out of the competition in our semi-final, so close but yet so far. Davood hasn't done too badly considering his occupation, and having been in the bottom two three times already he's had a few narrow escapes!

From sixteen we are now down to three - and I will now reveal the three people with suggestions still in the game. StigOfTheKrump, Silarmy and StrictlyEastend are behind one of our finalists but who they suggested will not be revealed until the end. Congratulations to them for each getting one of their suggestions through to the finale!

Speaking of the final, I'll get the details for that up soon. Thanks to Danny for hosting an excellent semi-final, and thank you to everyone as always for participating!

The end is in sight!

My act is in the final!

I can't actually remember who I suggested out of the final 3!

Bye Davood.

I want Kylie to win, but I think the "anyone but Kylie"/the Ross vote will prevail.

The final will be at some point in the near future.

Don't worry, you've got a good nine months to go before beating the record for 'longest period between semi final and final'.

To echo what Izzie said a few weeks ago, I think this must have been the most amicable series so far! No fan wars. No controversy. No accusations of being a train! How pleasant! XD

That's what you think... *starts typing up foul-mouthed 50-page diatribe ready to post if Jessica Rabbit comes anywhere other than 1st*

I repudiate this as captain of the "Anyone But Kylie (ABK)" party! I've heard that Kylie secretly carries several hundred people a day for Abellio Greater Anglia.

Considering you were all able to wait nine months for the last final I think a few more days shouldn't be much to ask.

That is fine with me, I understand that people would be busy over the Christmas period.

I hope you enjoyed Christmas.
