For me Claudia and Louise were overmarked. Didn't particularly liked either dance. Firstly Black Magic was not suited to an American Smooth. Definitely suited to a Cha Cha. Louise was my least favourite of the night. Think she's a bit overrated tbh maybe because she's dancing with Kevin (don't have a problem with him) but he's made three finals n a row. Don't really want him to make any more. I saw elements of hip hop in their Charleston. Wasn't charleston enough for me

Agreed on Louise, disagreed on Claudia.

Music choices may sometimes annoy me, but it doesn't factor into my perception of the dance. I thought she did a beautiful job.

Claudia and louise are the best female dancers in the show. Claudia was not overmarked. She had rubbish music but that didn't stop her having the best dance of the night.

Claudia was not overmarked. Louise was.

Agree with those who have said Louise over marked but Claudia was not. To be honest I felt she should have topped the leader board by herself but think the judges were worried that Laura missing a week might impact her popularity so put her up top alongside Claudia to protect her.

Claudia and AJ did excellently with terrible terrible music. I agreed with Len about the lifts. They will struggle with the height difference but I think she did the best dance by a woman last night and is genuinely improving as opposed to just having a dance that suits her better. (Laura deserved being at the same place in the leaderboard but she had fantastic music so I rate Claudia's achievement more highly.)

Louise isn't my favourite but her charleston is getting very high views on youtube so fair play it is popular. I think her place on the leaderboard was fair - she really can dance. I just didn't agree that she'd had a performance breakthrough. I don't think it was a better performance than her jive. So I disagreed with the comments but didn't mind the score.

Don't think Claudia was overmarked at all. Excellent dance. Louise definitely was as was Ore. No way did either deserve 9.

Louise was; I don't think she had the breakthrough that the judges spoke about. It was still meh for me.

Claudia however I thought was fantastic and she seemed to have a new found confidence and whilst I've always like the Claudia/ AJ pairing, it felt like a much more well rounded partnership this week and she seemed more relaxed.

Louise was overmarked - she's made yet another dance boring and beige

Claudia wasn't overmarked - but Laura was overmarked as well

Claudia, nope . About time her talent and efforts were recognised. So sick of her being dissed week after week .
Louise , yes .But the judges love her so what can you do .
Danny and Anasta def overmarked .Danny's should have been brill had he not gone off track and then completely lost the plot with error after error . A pity , but the faults were just so numerous by the end and he knew it . Anasta was shockingly bad . More like a first week dance and undeserving of the scores she got . Seems Craig is still the only judge prepared to dish out bad scores when deserved .

For me Laura, Louise and Ore were overmarked.

Louise was overmarked but not Claudia.

Thought Ore was overmarked by Len and Bruno - 9 too many errors for a nine.

I like Louise but wasn't keen on that Charleston.

Claudia's dance was wonderful. Bang on with her scores IMO.

Laura; thought her dance was great but not as good as Claudia and was over marked. Only by one point (well 4 if you add them all up) as I felt she deserved 8's.
10s for her dress though! Loved it!

Thought Ore's 9s were undeserved as well.

Yes, I also noticed that Louise was getting the most views, with Claudia next.
I need to edit this, apparently Ed is leading with the most views.

I am a Laura and Daisy fan. They're my faves. Claudia is good but Louise is a bit overrated imo. The judges have their favourites and she's one of them

Disagree about Clauda she was very good last night and deserved the marks she got but I agree on Louise I do think she was a tad overmarked.

I thought Claudia was great last night, and I've never really been a fan of hers, but Louise was quite poor in my opinion, I didn't feel like she got into the character of Harley Quinn. The music didn't fit the concept, their characters are dark and then it was a lighthearted, very safe charleston.

Unfortunately, they have to dance to whatever they were given.
We're observing how well they danced not whether the music was suitable or not.

The consensus of opinion on this board is that Claudia and AJ were the best, see the poll. Therefore they were well deserving of their marks.

Remember, the marking is based on how well they performed against the other contestants. The first couple who dance is the benchmark against which all the others are judged.

If Louise had danced that Charleston to decent music there would have been better reaction. The music was wrong. Claudia has had awful music more often than not.

To be honest - Laura was the only person last night who got music that matched the dance she was doing. I still would have placed her below Claudia but felt she needed to be above Louise on the leader board so that lead to the tie at the top IMHO.

It's not kind to ask someone who struggles with acting to repair the damage caused by a mismatched theme, dance style, and music when the choreography does nothing to help.

Yes, Laura was very lucky last night, she even had a long dress to cover those legs.

I agree the judges have their favourites but it wasn't Louise being favoured last night.

I agree.

My problem is; I find Laura a pretty good dancer - ballroom anyway - but the judges do seem to praise and over mark her a bit, which, in turn, puts me off.

She's not the only one being over marked though. The judges scoring is all over the place this year!

9's for Ore with those mistakes?!

I thought Claudia was very much deserving of her four 9s - it was a lovely dance, executed very well.

Stylistically I wasn't a fan of Louise's Charleston particularly, but that's just personal taste. I think 9s could be justified, plenty of swivel so fairly good technique.

By contrast, after rewatching it was very clear that Ore really struggled to incorporate any sort of swivel - definitely not worth 9s!!

In terms of the other high scoring dance of the night, Laura's was arguably dance well overall, but it seemed to be missing rather a lot of heel leads, so I thought 9s were rather generous. For me, in terms of technique, Claudia's dance was somewhat better.
