Judge Rinder is he becoming more popular than the producers would like few things I noticed last night:
Second in the running order after going first week before.
Paso Butterfly costume not only did it hide how well he was doing it also was the most camp they could make it.
Poor camera work on his dance several times the camera was not directly on him and panning really far out.

The question is are you voting for Judge Rinder and how many weeks have you done so.

I think they want Daisy and Greg to go further than him and also worried he might be more popular than the Clifton clan.

voted for him again...do wonder why he is always on early....not sure about the daisy/greg link, I could think of a few others who seem to be 'favoured' before them...

Skewed your results as I cannot vote outside UK but I do ask family to vote for him every week.
It was his turn to go second to be fair. His dance/song was actually better to go first (but couldn't as he jived first) or last (but they were saving Ed til last).
So had he gone penultimate and Daisy second, not that fair on Daisy either and you needed a bit of oomph after Lou's Charleston.
The music was tenous. Rob as Mothman is not very scary. The music (coming on the back of Marvin Gaye/Flintstones gay old time and comments like boy in flamboyant, camp in boot camp etc means Gaga was picked as Rob Still Gay Shocker).
He might have chosen it himself but for Halloween?
I think he did an amazing job and hope he gets to Blackpool. I like his personality, relationship with Oksana, interviews. He is never dull to watch.

The idea that they give Judge Rinder camp routines to make him less popular is ridiculous. It's his whole angle. It's his dayjob. The point of Judge Rinder (the show) is in part that it's funny to have someone in a sober position of authority acting like a particularly pissy nail technician.

nah, Craig won't let him win

I thought OP had a problem with Mothman doing Gaga AS A PASO. We had Ed's mincing matador two weeks ago and that was....something but Rob can actually dance. His paso underneath wings is going to lose whatever butch he put into it. Even Jake's paso was hampered by wings and concept (Ooh black batty....bam-ba-lam) but at least he used his wings as a cape then lost them.
Poor Rob had to keep his on the whole time.
Hell, I liked the routine. I have liked all of them bar the AS. Camp does it for me, I have no issue with the routines themselves but Halloween moths do not gaymazing make: Actually strike that, upon recalling your blog description https://monkseal.wordpress.com/2016/...mance-summary/
They'll be shooting him out of a cannon next. Actually, that'll probably be Ed.
But unlike Scott or Julien, Rob can dance very well...they don't have to do the camp schtick week after week just because they can. A fierce tango would be all kinds of awesome.

Judging from that poll he appears to be a bit marmitey.

Slightly off topic but watch Graham Norton on Catch Up last night and guess what?

BEnedict Cumberbatch officiated at Judge Rinder's wedding to his boyfriend in Ibiza. They are apparently very good friends and now Benedict is back in the U.K. He said he will be voting for the Judge. I suspect that a lot of Cumberbitches will now be voting for him as well.

I fully expected not to like him but he has really grown on me. I love his enthusiasm and general joi-de-vivre... and I think he just adores Oksana.

Damn for getting sucked in. I'm meant to be working. But having watched it back for the fifth time now, it is pretty good in spite of or even because of the theming: he puts his all into it and doesn't gurn once. Yes it's more Halloqueeny than Halloweeny but it is more memorable than most, even if he does look a bit like Michael stipe.

Not now he's knocked up his wife for the second time, they won't.

I hated the butterfly concept, didn't seem to suit the paso at all and seemed like another way to make Rinder one of the comedy contestants. But then I watched it and he really made it work, it was really powerful and he kept distracting my attention from Oksana which not many people can do. I'm voting every week as much as possible.

No offence, but the poll options are a bit ridiculous. I haven't voted for him becauseI find him immensely irritating and don't think he's a good dancer at all (last night was his first half decent dance), but I wouldn't say he isn't popular - he clearly is, I just particularly understand why, except each to their own of course!

It was my favourite dance of the night. Amazingly! I'd love to see him do a dance with no daft theme or comedy. He is better than I thought.

I have voted for him a couple of times - last night being one of them. I think he pulled off a strong passo despite the stupid theme and outfit - Moths and butterflys for Halloween!!
I think he is resisting the producers attempts to make him one of the joke characters this year simply by doing the dance well.

God, how I loathe the phrase Cumberbitches. It is totally disrespectful of women.

Couldn't vote as my preferred option - don't mind him but haven't voted for him wasn't there.

Indeed. So I like Sherlock and think he's dishy that makes me his bitch?! Puh! I vote JR because he entertains me on Strictly and I love JR the TV show. I was a Sherlock fan first but didn't know the old news (which it really is) until after I was a JR (TV show) fan. Perhaps they share some similar qualities, like send up arrogance and sarcastic humour, that I'm drawn to.

I'm sorry, but I don't think 'they' really have any conspiracies - this is the Beeb and it's paid for by TV licence buyers, and therefore open to public scrutiny. 'They' cannot risk being accused of anything that brings the Beeb into disrepute. The debacle about Saturday kitchen, and the notbeing live but stating they were, brought the reputation of the Beeb to question, and they daren't risk anything like that again. So I can't agree with you on your theory.

We have various conspiracy theories every series, all of which are unfounded and come to nothing.

And as for Rinder, I like him, I do think he deserves better than being the comedy act, but he's embracing everything and doing so with good humour. If I'm home during the day, I watch his Judge Rinder programme, and his persona in that is totally different to his Strictly persona. He's just normal; professional when he needs to be, but embracing Strictly and having fun. I hope he stays in a lot longer.

I wouldn't say he wasn't popular but I've never voted for him. Possibly I might have done week one but since then I haven't felt even remotely interested in seeing him again.
