I dont like it when these people have to change their mobile 'becasue the next best thing is better' but, I have had:
Motorola brick with flip (Vodafone) Phillips Savy (When I found Virgin Mobile and swiftly changed) Nokia 3310 (when the Savy broke on me after a lot of use!) John |

I've had two Ericssons (T10 and T28) and a Sony J5e which is doing a splendid job (been dropped off stairs and onto concrete at least 10 times and is still working perfectly). |

A Philips Genie was my first mobile (came as a free deal with my Barclaycard at the time).
After that came the Nokia Communicator 9110 and then the faithful 7110 I have now (starting to look a little battered after nearly 3 years)

I've gone through two. A motorola M3788 and a siemens M35i. the only reason I changed was because my Motorola was bust. Unlike many people I know, I don't want to change my phonee very 3 months to look cool and keep up with the latest fasion. It's just a load of money wasting crap. in the time I've had my 2nd phone (since christmas) some people I know are now on their 3rd phone since then. I can't belive how often some people change their phones jsut to be trendy. i don't have/want a nokia, but some people go thorough 5 different nokia designs in one year! Not only that, they think if you don't have a nokia then you have a crap phone. In fact, I was being laughed at for keeping on to my motorola for 18 months. Most people don't keept heirs for 18 weeks. After that they become "unfasionable" and "crap" and they have to rush out and get the latest design. What a load of rubbish IMO.

There is so many phones I've gone trough either through smashing them at work or losing them. I've now got a Motorola V50 and haven't lost it yet (touch wood).

I started using mobiles back in 1988 and originally had a carphone and not a mobile, I think my list goes similar to this but I dont remember all the model numbers.
Carphone, with suitcase in boot (analogue Vodaphone) Motorola (brick style, analogue Cellnet) late 80's with a massive antenna Excel M2 (another brick, analogue Vodaphone) Motorola M300 (One2One) Motorola M301 (One2One) Motorola M400 (One2One) Ericcson (One2One) Panasonic (Cellnet) Orange Nokia x 2 Nokia 6210 (Vodaphone) Ericsson A1018s (Orange), old but works I think thats it but there may be a couple missing |

I did not start off with 7 different phones.Motorola 520C (One2One Pay as you go, before i was 18) Nokia 5110 (One2One Pay as you go, because Motorola suck) Nokia 3210 (One2One, when i opened my first contract )Siemens C35I (One2One Pay as you go, got it so i could have wap, put contract sim card in this one, but Siemens Sucked )Nokia 3310 (Orange Contract, was boared, so i got an additional phone for the fun of it) Nokia 3330 (Got an additional One2One contract out to make data calls with, put this sim card in the 5110, but you get a phone for free, so i had to take one) Nokia 8210 (One2One 12 Month phone upgrade) Now i am thinking of getting Nokia 8310, cause its so cool! |

I had Eircell Nokia 3210 which after a year's good use, I changed for a Nokia 3330 which is nice but Irish WAP costs are very expensive (come to think of it, all mobile costs in IRL are expensive)
Damn Vodafone

My Dad was the fisrt person I knew with a moblie. He got a GSM Motorola in late '94. I knew people who were buying analogue phones three years later, so having a digital phone them was something. I've still got it at home and it is this huge brick with desktop charger and even larger spare battery. But the council didn't replace the phone until about a year ago by which time it was very outdated.
I didn't get any phones til my 18th birthday as all PAYG is a rip off, so I got a 6210 on Orange last January which I recently replace with 5210 - both free of course.

I've only ever had one mobile - a Nokia 3210 on Vodafone PAYT allcalls, which I bought for £79.99 on 26/10/2000 (aren't receipts great?
) I thought I was going to have to get a new one a few months ago when I dropped it in the (thankfully freshly flushed) toilet, but it works fine now.

Got my first mobile in 1994 (I think). The list is something like this:
An analogue Motorola brick-like thingy Then I got my first digital mobile - can't remember what brand it was and its not something thats about now Then the Nokia's started... I've had the following: 2110 on Vodafone 3110 on Vodafone nk702 on Orange Then I had five Nokia 7110's on Orange in the space of a year Changed to a Nokia 6210 last October and put a prepaid SIM into my last 7110 Chuck a couple of pagers into the mix along the lines - I've still got and still use one of them VodaZap jobs. I like my Nokia's, I don't think there is a better UI on the market just now for this type of phone. The only phone I've used recently that comes close is a SonyEricsson T68, which is nice but I still prefer my Nokia. |
