My cat Tilly always whenever I pet her, does the whole marking your scent thing by rubbing her head/scent glands on me.
But often when she does this she tends to stumble a bit whilst leaning her head on me. I wonder if this is a normal cat behaviour or whether or not any of your cats do this. |

Mine certainly does. I think she just gets carried away, relaxes (almost a trance) and can stumble. As she's around 20 I'm used to her little habits, so I know to support her in case

Cats' heads, in particular the back of their head and neck are very sensitive to touch, a gentle rub on the back of their necks is very relaxing for them. That is why picking them up by the scruff of their neck is very cruel and should only be done in an emergency like when they are in a serious fight with another cat or dog.
