Got it on series record and will watch all six episodes once aired

Seems a bit slow and when something looks like it may happen they cut to ads. Maybe being the first episode it's doing scene setting but it needs to be gripping as well.

it's quite good , very Stephen King-y , an interesting part is an old 80's tv puppet show which has some sort of spooky effect on the kids .

Seen the fist episode - surprisingly low key and absorbing.

I watched the first two episodes but the acting is too awful for me to have continued.

I wish more people knew about this show .
it's very subtle for an american show , more like one of those old BBC ghost stories |

I found it creepy, i found it tense in parts and the overall vibe was unnerving. First thing that came to mind after i watched it was The Twilight Zone. The creatures were creepy looking especially that tooth man. It's not badly acted at all. I thoroughly enjoyed it and going to watch Ep2 later tonight. |

Good episode, my only quibble is the casting of the lead who is a bit wooden and Fiona Shaw who is A a bit too old (given the time line of events she'd be closer to 45 than her actual 58 years) and is B far too urbane to be a midwest American in my own mind!

Really enjoyed what I've seen of this. Effective 'Stephen King' vibe, and as others have said suprisingly subtle and atmospheric. Great cinematography as well.
Re the comments about the lead Paul Schneider's performance, he's playing a character who's recently been in a psychiatric institution for psychosis, so his low key, withdrawn nature is probably a result of him still being on anti-psychotics. |

but she's the mother of the main character who must be at least 35 .

Binged on 5 episodes of this today. What an unexpected pleasure! Creepiest show I've seen all year. Reminded me a bit of True Detective S1 with the long slow tracking shots. Really atmospheric.

Binged the first three episodes. It's ok. It's creepy without a doubt.

Watched the first epiosde expecting it to be dreadful but quite enjoyed it, and the second one. Found the puppets beyond creepy. I'd never have slept a wink ever again if I'd seen those things as a child

I've seen the first episode, put me in mind of some of the children's drama on cbbc. Not terrible, but not that great either.

This has had a late-night/smalll-hours repeating so I caught up with the episode I missed - it's always the one with the critical nuance that isn;t covered in the 'previously on' bit. Quote:

Excellently creepy I thought, definitely had the right atmosphere at the right places, but not one for the 'action every moment' crowd. And didn't turn out quite how I expected either. |
