I'm trying to find a list of the bands who were on the first episode that featured pub rock bands. Songs too if possible.

Ah, I saw that link when I was searching.
I wonder if I'm on the wrong track. It had dr feel good OK, but I think brindsley Schwartz and ducks deluxe.
I think!
The track I think I'm looking for is a cover of chuck berry's Nadine. But I can't recall the band.

AFAIR The show had Dr Feelgood, Brinsley Schwartz, Ducks Deluxe, Meal ticket, The Motors, Tyla Gang
Don't remember anyone playing Nadine though.. You sure it's not Tulane by Steve Gibbons Band you're thinking of??

I think it was last shown during the summer.

I really think the pre-punk, pub rock scene needs a revival.

I sincerely hope not. I have bad memories of the NME desperately trying to make something out of that when it was mainly just old blokes playing dreary old dad-rock. Dr Feelgood were probably the only ones worth listening to. Before anyone says it, I do remember the 101ers, but they were notable only for Joe Strummer's appalling vocals. When punk came along I was more grateful that it blew away pub rock than prog rock.

Does make me laugh when they rewrite the history of music to make out it all happened as a coherent development of one thing into another. Proto-punk my arse!

We had one called 'Toploader' they were shite, so in perfect keeping with the original scene...

I was being a little punk in cheek with that (should have used the smilie).
The Feelgoods were brilliant though. I still listen to them.
