When he was in prison he left Ben in charge of his businesses and only changed it to Sharon with reluctance. She has tried to cheat him out of his business and money, she has left him several times and I honestly don't think he trusts her motive for coming back this time. Then of course there was the whole Gavin saga when she took her father's side and handed over all that cash to him...cash they could have done with themselves.

Sharon is still one of my favourites but I have grown frustrated with her self-righteous attitude. To me, she is still one of the most entertaining characters but I'd rather see her leave if they aren't going to develop her properly as a character. Her status as a gold-digger shouldn't be part of her continuing characterisation but she has been written this way since her '12 return sadly. However, I agree with your final sentence that she's improved a lot now than 4 years ago. But she didn't allow Max to rot in prison and she needs some sort of comeuppance and that'll be the beginning of her redemption if Max punishes her. I think Letitia deserves better and I wonder how she feels about the inconsistent writing for her alter-ego.

They shouldn't drop these storylines but it's one of the worst writing for Sharon ever. I'm pleased they continued Denny's bullying storyline and it was a missed opportunity when they dropped the storyline in late '13 because I wanted Sharon to see Denny's true colours and she should have been begging for forgiveness from Ava, Dot and Whitney etc, but she is on friendly terms with them now. Sharon knows what her son is like but I'm bemused that she refused to believe Jay when he told her about Denny's bullying to Will, but the other week, she reprimanded him for saying nasty names about Janet. The less said about the drug addition, the better
but I presume she went to rehab?

Left him as he has deserved it and gone back , as for cash well how much of that did Phil earn in a legit manner he is hardly a moral guardian. Re ben and being in charge, whilst he has grown up a lot the last time Phil left him in charge Ben lost it all by being conned

Becoming involved with the Poison Potato and staying with him since her return has made her the world's biggest doormat after...
He spoke about her like a piece of meat to Jack in the Vic.
He sent two thugs around to scare her which resulted in the loss of her spleen and a (very brief) spot of agoraphobia.
He revealed his crucial role in the death of the love of her life and Dennis's father.
He cheated, he lied and was abusive all the while staggering around the square being an obnoxious drunken p*ick to all and sundry.
He treated her and everyone around him (including his family) like the shit on his shoe.
Still we are supposed to think he actually loves her.
Really?
Every single character (male or female) who comes within a mile of TPTB's little bald God either acts in an irrational/unintelligent manner or is totally destroyed to ensure he remains Top Dog.
Because of this bizarre attitude we have had no credible alpha males/villains in the square for many years now because as soon as they see him very slowly gasp and wheeze into view (no matter how big, young, muscular or ruthless they are) their vertebra falls out and they end up as a small yellow puddle of jelly begging him for mercy.
I have been sick of it for the entire 21st century - I wish that Steve Owen would have killed him and not vice-versa.

So Sharon supposedly didn't like how Phil had left Ben out of the will yet didn't insist that Ben was included when she made Phil redo it, kind of makes you think she didn't care as long as she wasn't excluded, did anyone who insists that Sharon is not a gold-digger consider that.
