No. I'm a big fan of the character. Deeply troubled young girl.

I'm mixed about her. It is a sad story, but Nico killing Patrick 'just because' and how long it dragged on made me dislike the whole thing.
But the Blake family history is tragic, even Patrick himself was abused. There was so much pain and suffering that could have been explored with how they all dealt with what they went through and how it has shaped the person they have become. Instead they just used the characters to create drama and trouble for others. They used serious issues and mental illness for cheap thrills, some where well written and acted, but I just think about how much better it could have been if they were serious instead of sensationalising it. |

Not in the slightest. I felt sorry for Sienna because she lost her child but not for Nico herself.
The storyline has been dragged out for almost two years now and the actress, while she was ok tonight, has been mostly abysmal throughout. She was never capable of carrying such a huge storyline It was also so boring having Nico become a psycho because she was just a poor man's Patrick/Sienna |

She should've been punished for all her crimes and Ben will never find out that she killed his daughter. |

I thought Nico was better at playing a pyscho because she had a creepiness about her.
Having said that she shouldn't have died. She should've been punished for all her crimes and Ben will never find out that she killed his daughter. I wonder if we will see Grace's reaction to the realisation that Nico killed Trevor, she will be livid! But OP, yes I felt sorry for Nico and you have summed it up well. Nico actually never had a chance and it was so sad to see this very troubled girl who had no chance with her background live such a troubled and disturbed life and meet her end at such a young age. Knowing she was only 16 makes this so sad. What's sad as well is Sienna only ever wanted her daughter and when she got her back after years she was put through so much pain from her. The 'I hate you' line as Nico's last words to Sienna made me feel so much not only just for Sienna but Nico too! |

'In the end' - pretty much a spoiler title. Everyone moans about spoilers so I will too. Not everyone watches on E4.

It doesn't matter if it has aired on E4 or C4, the episode has already aired on TV and been watched by hundreds of thousands of people. Spoiler titles can be put pretty much wherever now. It is actually simple, if it's aired on tv but you haven't watched then maybe you shouldn't come on here - yes I have no right in suggesting you not to come on here but you also have no right in moaning at the OP for titling their opinion on something that has been broadcasted for the whole of Great Britain to see.
Everyone in the Strictly Come Dancing studio has seen the result on Saturday but god help anyone who puts a spoiler in the thread title on that forum - they crucify you. Anyway I don't really care, I'm just making people aware that not everyone has seen it, especially if they like to watch in HD but don't have E4hd. |

What's the point of putting it on Channel 4 then, if everyone already knows what happened?

If you mean the studio see the things before it's been shown on national TV then people have a right to complain. If you're saying people moan over Stictly before they have even seen even though it's been on telly they have no right to complain. |

It doesn't matter why it's out on C4, I've never even said what you're saying. All I said is it has been broadcasted on TV for Great Britain to see so a spoiler title can contain whatever it wants to contain.

Also, not getting at you, but I love how everyone uses the expression 'National TV' these days. I think it came from America, where they actually have more than a couple of local TV stations, and people used to say it on Jerry Springer. Then it crept over here with Trisha, Jeremy Kyle etc: 'Oi, I can' believe you came ow on National Television 'n' said that to mey, you slaaag!' |

She was a silly girl for going after Tom. Never try to kill the grim reaper himself, it won't end well

Just making people aware, as I said, in case they might like to consider that possibly the majority of people haven't seen the episode, and might consider confining the spoilers to the 'e4 daily' thread.

SCD is completely different as it is only the people that attend the filming that know on Saturday. That is true of anything filmed in advance. Somebody cohld come online and type out every joke for Have I Got News For You the night before teansmission as it is filmed on Thursdays and transmirtted on Fridays but most people would consider that to be spoiling it. But people duscuss it on Friday noight from 9.30 once it hss been transmitted even though it has a repeat on Monday which some people might not see it until. In the day and age of catch up tv, there has to be a line on the sand somewhere as to when it becomes ok to discuss a tv show without hiding everything and the first transmission of it when anybody that has a tv without paying for additionsl channels would seem to be the most logical way of doing it. Re the opening wuestion, yes a little. she did kind of never have a chance with what appears to be a genetic history of mental instability (Anna, Patrick, Will, Sienna) plus the increased liklihood of some kind of problem due to the incest, then not appearing yo have been wanted/loved by her foster carers and getting Patrick and Sienna as role moels when she was reunited with them. But, she has been shown a lot of love and given chances by Sienna and Dodger, Maxine and even Patrick in his own way. So, mixed feelings really. |

National tv is valid in yhis context though as it means anything that can be viewed free of charge. When E4 hollyoaks started it was different as you had to have Sky or Cabke yo view, services for which yoy paid a subscription. Therefore it was a minority of viewers that got it. Since the digital switchover, anybody with a tv can recieve E4 so it is a personal choice based on habit or convenience as to whether somebody watches on C4 oe E4 as the option is available to all.

Not in the slightest, we all have a choice whatever our past has been and whilst those experiences may provide an explanation they are not in my opinion an excuse. I'm delighted to see her go - horrible character, very badly acted

Im not sure I'd agree that we all have a choice whether we are controlled by experiences. Yes, sane, rational people can take control of their own destiny, inckuding getting help to confront and resolve trauma from their pasts but what if there is an underkying mental health problem which prevents rstional thought or even empathy or s recognition of the difference between right and wrong? I do think this might be the case with Nico, that there is actually something mentally wrong with her, thst she was born with, perhaps due to the incest. Then a warped morality was reinforced by having to live on her wits, ibncluding lying and stealing when homeless and then by Patrick and Siennas behaviour once reunited with them. So, she's a product of nature and nurture. |

Erm, yes he will. She confessed all to Peri about the people she's killed. Warren said to Maxine on the phone Ben came clean and admitted Nico killed Trevor not him. Ben will be in trouble for preventing the course of justice and the news will be delivered to him that Carley was killed by Nico. Just a shame we probably won't see the reaction of him finding out and coming to terms with knowing he went to prison protecting the girl who killed his daughter for killing the man he suspected of killing his daughter.
