She is a stupid character, and the laugh is done to death. Now they seem to insist on doing it almost every scene (one scene she did it about 2-3 times in a row).

Moronic character needs written out, another worthless addition to the show.

I haven't noticed. Before last night when was the last time?
I love it.

I'm not what's more annoying, the character's laugh or the way she carries her handbag by her elbow, it makes it look like she's got a false arm and has screwed it on the wrong way around.

Isn't that the way all the WAG's carry their bags? I thought it was a running joke that all wannabe's bought a fake designer handbag and hung it off their arm so it has a prominent position.

I don't know, I'm not really up on WAGs but I seem to recall Rosie doing it too, so I guess it's seen as cool and trendy in certain circles

It just looks affected to me TBH

I like it. She's put her thumbprint on the character and added it herself. I very much doubt it was written into a script. It's called acting. In the same way Norris stammers and stutters when he gets a new piece of gossip, or Rita calls people 'lady' when she's about to deliver a lecture. People like samia ghadie should take note and go away and think about how to put some acting into her character.

its just the fact its blatantly fake and put on that annoys me
It does seem fake.

LOL well she is an actress, that's kind of the point isn't it? It's just a giggle, I can't see why Eva would blatantly fake a laugh? The actress is intentionally portraying her as ditzy.

I love Eva, even when she's being a Princess, she's a great character IMO.

I like Eva and her princess moments but Corrie could do so much more with her character. I'd like to see evil Eva!

Eva could easily fall into the Corrie daft character void. She needs to be something more than ditsy blonde, with big tits and an annoying laugh.

Did anyone else think the blonde wig really suited Michelle?
I thought she was Maria for a second!

The actress's real laugh, my arse. Funny how it never featured in the three or four years previous to her going on maternity leave. Or if it did it was subtle enough not to be noticed.

You have very plainly not gone to the bother of studying Samia's acting in any detail whatsoever!! Maria has loads of little looks & mannerisms of her own!!
Just because she doesn't lay it on with a trowel does not make her a poor actress, it's called subtlety & makes for a much more natural & believable character in my book!!

No-one in Coronation Street is worth having their acting studied in any detail. It's hardly Shakespeare and the actors are hardly Dame Judi Dench or Larry Olivier!

But I know what you mean. Maria is not OTT or in your face like some in the street. What she needs though, is some meatier material that's interesting. So far, the SL with Caz is not it.

Haha!! You do have a pont but then I don't think Samia, Cath or most of the others have ever tried to pretend they were at that level!! Plus acting in soap is a totally different ballgame to other acting anyway, basically you are spending your entire working day becoming another person, whilst other actors tend to take on various roles for a short time only!!
It does annoy me though when people say Samia can't act!! She's had some pretty tough s/ls as Maria during her time on the show & has never been anything less than natural & believable in her portrayal which is really all you can ask of a soap actor!! There's plenty on there a damn site less believable!!

I'm another one that found it endearing at first but annoying now. I think they've started over using it at inappropriate times or maybe it used to be the actress own choice as to when she did it but now it's being scripted.
I find it very annoying and fake. She uses it at the most inappropriate times making her look like she is a bit vacant
